Dexion shelving
Anyone need some?
I've got some that's free to a good home if you can pick it up. There are two end frames and 6 x 9 foot beams. to make 3 levels of industrial shelving. I've also got the wooden shelves themselves, which you'd be welcome to, but the wood is not in good condition, and you might want to replace it.
I know this should probably be in classifieds, but who looks there? And I don't want anything for it, although if you are feeling flush, a donation to the local food bank would be a nice gesture.

Re: Dexion shelving
Really?
Nobody? I'd LOVE to be able to fit this lovely shelving in to my garage. It was used in my last garage (much larger) and was absolutely brilliant. It would cost a fair old sum to buy new. I'd much rather keep this great kit in the "family" rather than bung it on the local freecycle site and let some stranger make a quick profit.

I've tried to PM him. Message is in my outbox but not showing in my sent items. I have no idea what that means!

I'd love it but I don't have space for it until I shift 2 big trailers out of my garage and sadly I no longer have a Transit to cart it all off in.

Whereabouts are you Trog?
We've got £17,000 worth of chocolate box packaging that I'd really like stored on shelves rather than spread out across nearly all of my own storeroom!
Anywhere between London and Skye would probably be convenient!

!
I'm on the southern outskirts of London. 15 minutes from Junctions 7 or 8 of the M25. Edit - Google maps says more like 25 mins, but I think that's a bit conservative. Probably 25 mins by van, 15 mins by bike. Its Wallington, SM6.Kneerly Down wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 5:06 pm Whereabouts are you Trog?

Re: Dexion shelving
Would you like me to hold them for you? If you do, it would be good to have an indication of roughly when you might be able to collect. Something like "before the end of September" would be good enough for me.Kneerly Down wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 5:06 pm Whereabouts are you Trog?

Re: Dexion shelving
Trog.
Sorry, have been travelling (a LOT) the last couple of days and haven't been online other than essentials.
If I can get a one-way hire van from Gatwick I could collect in the next c.2-3 weeks.
Van hire has been massively curtailed during Covid though and my normal go-to suppliers aren't doing one-way, at least not for the routes I need, but that does seem to be changing.
I'll do some digging and get back asap.
I am taking my own van down to Coventry next week, but will be tired enough doing that trip let alone getting it 'south of the river', hence the hire van from the airport preference.
Thanks, and sorry I can't be more definite!

I'll hang on to it for you. We're only about half an hour from Gatwick, and the route is extremely straightforward.

but I dragged them out of the garage in anticipation, and I dont want to leave them outside long term. Just let me know that you will collect eventually, and I will throw a bit of tarp over them, and continue to hold them for you.

Re: Dexion shelving
Sorry Trog.
Still doesn't seem to be any one way van rentals going from Gatwick.
I was hoping they'd have gone back a bit more to normal by now but, as with everything else Covid-related, it doesn't seem to have shifted.
If someone else wants (and can) take them in the meantime I fully understand.
If no-one can within the next 3 weeks I'll drive the van down from Coventry if I'm still unable to get a hire.
Sorry to mess you about.
