I can't disagree with any of the above. I had mine for about a year and, from memory, did just over 3k miles as I had other bikes too.Tricky wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:36 pm Depends what you're looking for, and what you are comparing it to is my view- Big Kev ( @2xtwins ) had one, I borrowed it once or twice so have a view, Kev's view will likely be be fuller and probably more relevant, but mine, FWIW is that it's a very strong engine, quite a low seat height but a big heavy old barge of a thing- it was a good two-up bike IMO with a ballistic top end, but not really my cup of tea, I'd take a ZZR over one every day of the week
It was a good solid all-rounder, I could get close to 200 miles from a tank - iirc it averaged 53-55mpg - safe handling, if a little ponderous as it was a long old beast but the engine was very strong, especially given the berries.
Why did I move it on so quickly?... It never really got the juices flowing, had no real personality and, to my mind, was the motorcycling equivalent of its four-wheeler cousin the 535d.
As a dependable mile muncher/continental tourer it was ace, apart from the standard panniers...as said above, they were barely good for a long weekend.
Just my 2p worth.
