Slipped, fell, bought a new toy (KTM Duke 390)
Hey folks, long time, no see . (Do we still refer to the other place? My post count here makes me look like a n00b )
My Striple was getting a bit long in the tooth, despite my enduring love for it, and Muz has gone off road riding, so I couldn't really justify buying a new one for the small bit of riding I do on my tod.
So I've downsized. And impulse-bought an ex-demo 23 plate KTM Duke 390, with 35 miles on the clock. Based pretty much solely on the facts that they're cheap, and that I know Couchy and Weesky both thought they were barrels of fun
It's been a small age since I bought a new bike, and I haven't really kept up with the latest gear etc, etc.
Which leads me to ask: what are the must-haves I should buy for it?!

Re: Slipped, fell, bought a new toy (KTM Duke 390)
Bloody excellent bike! I had the most fun of any bike on that one. Road and track Actually, definitely the most fun bike on track for me!!! For all that I love 1000s, I don't have the skill or bottle to use them properly on track, but the 390 Duke was properly abused there!
I think I bought a radiator guard, I want to say crash bars but that doesn't sound like me!! And I did put a top box on it
Have loads and loads of fun on that chick
EDIT - I did put some crash bar thingy on mine!

Thanks for all the welcomes folks! It's nice to see so many familiar names
@Yin - I've got family staying mid-August, so nice though it'd be to do Pembrey, not only am I skint this month (see first post ), and can't go over 6000 revs yet , I also can't make it
Meanwhile only Noggin has actually answered the exam question.
I'm thinking a tail tidy is high on the list...

Re: Slipped, fell, bought a new toy (KTM Duke 390)
Wow, been a while, good to see you back @Sunny , and I love the bike- I bought a brand new 390 Duke 4 or 5 years ago that I absolutely loved both on road and track, and a second-hand RC390 too a couple of years back as a little trackday project that also gave me much enjoyment.
I tinkered a bit and played around with both of them with a few mods - I think my 390 Duke thread pre-dates this place and was on therevcounter, but the RC390 one is here http://revtothelimit.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1141 in case you're interested.
I think I may still have the Duke rear sets and maybe one or two other bits (levers, sprockets etc) that you are very welcome to gratis if you want them , best mod I did to both of mine was the quick-shifter but they are great as they are, for what they are, fabulous little bikes

I think I have a top box plate somewhere, but not a lot of use to you as postage would be silly!! LOL But if you need one when I'm coming back, I'll bring it
