Top Bricks facts No. 254
The 1000cc K100 was a four cylinder and had a square exhaust can, four sides of a square denoting the four cylinders.
The 750cc K75 was a triple and had... you guessed it, a triangular shaped exhaust can!

Re: Just Another Brick
The custom boyos seem to love them and make a decent job of improving the dull looks of the original.

Re: Just Another Brick
The K75 is probably more boring to ride than the CX500, it looks OK'ish but what a dull motorcycle to use as a base bike. On the plus side, a well maintained motor will go sailing past 250k miles with ease.

That's a good looking thing. Don't like the 'silencer' for some reason I'm not quite sure about...but other than that

Re: Just Another Brick
For me, it was 20+ years between the CX and K75 (and that was 20 years ago) so I couldn't compare the two.
However, the K needed revs - it changes character over 4k. And sounds better.
Even bland can be a type of character

Re: Just Another Brick
K75S is a lovely wee thing. Absolutely gorgeous.
The problem with custom bricks is that the swinger is too long, its even worse on the 100 and the later ones.

Horrible wrist-aching angle on the handlebars. Otherwise, far from the worst I've seen.

Re: Just Another Brick
Better than the original but, for me, the overall impression is just slightly dull and boring. It's like whoever designed it added those nasty red highlights as an afterthought so that it didn't blend in with his effing garage doors ffs.

Re: Just Another Brick
Isn't the K100 DOHC and the Mini ummm...not?
I gets that's why you'd do it, but it doesn't sound like it's the head you need to worry about modifying

I wonder who was first to notice that? (Not to mention why ).
