The mad part is that according to the advert the bike won'Special of the year' at Stafford,WTF came 2nd & 3rd? :wtf:

Vincent Comet engine 84x100 - 566cc
Fitted with Rapide frame, Gilera single sided front fork and modified Honda single sided swinging arm which has variable ride height suspension unit.
Engine fitted with rebuilt magneto, new 1 3/8” GP carburettor, 12 volt dynamo, mated to an AMC gearbox/ clutch. Starts easily. Road registered with age related reg. number. Disc brakes back and front.Winner of the 2018 Stafford Classic Bike Show special of the year award.
I can no longer ride a motorcycle due to muscular problems.

Eek, yep, that's absolutely hideous, I waste of a Comet engine and I also suspect barely an improvement on the original girdraulics...
I quite like the upswept exhaust ( and it's given me ideas), but that's where it ends for this one :thumbdown:

This, on the other hand, I quite liked (awful seat/tail unit aside)- was built by a close friend of Ian Hamilton, a long-time Vincent fancier and reasonabley handy BOTT racer, as a sort of road-going single-cylinder version of Ian's race bike
