Yes.
All in a stack and store box.
It was in a mates workshop and he’s not prone to losing parts

O,and a new rocker arm is available from David Silver for £15.83.
There’s another option open for me.
I might tell him yes, I’ll pick it up at the weekend.

Tough one. Obviously in a legal context he's got no comeback. Morally he's not got much either.

Can you source the missing part?

can't really comment on the issue itself - but your redaction attempt isn't working very well.

Just thought you should know.

It looks blocked out to me and I can’t seem to delete the screenshot.
Maybe Gruppenfuhrer Weeks can delete it for me ?

I reckon you could too. But I've done it anyway.

You had to really really try to see anything on it though. Like really really!

Ok.
So this chap , 3 months after buying a rolling chassis , engine bottom end and the rest in a box , emails me to say there's a rocker shaft missing.
He suggests that if I can't find the said rocker shaft , I can collect the bike and give him a refund.
His name it Tim. My name isn't Tim.

I didn't see the original post but if he wants a refund after three months then likely he hasn't done any work on it, realised he'll never get round to it and changed his mind. He's conveniently misplaced a part and expects you to bear all the expense of his mistake. Have I missed anything?

Yeah my thoughts. I think he’s Mrs is continuously on at him for spending good money on a Pile o Shite and has come crying back in my direction.

Only one thing: ask Tim to send a picture of how it looks now he's done all the work?

But, as said, buy a s/h one, send it to him, and say 'no more'. For any rebuild there should, surely, be an expectation of obtaining replacement parts as you go?

Did the receipt have 'sold as seen' or similar?
Even bland can be a type of character

Which part of "project" did he not comprehend?

A firm and decisive " fuck off" is an appropriate response.
