A Small Wager
@Potter @weeksy
Potter regularly claims to be a Chartered Engineer . I don't believe him . Simple as that .
I'll bet £500 to be paid directly to Potter , a UK Charity of his choice , or indeed to RTTL via Weeksy , that he cannot prove he can claim to be a Chartered Engineer ( UKSpec ) at this time .
I do NOT expect Potter to supply me with his verified ID ( UK driving licence or UK Passport ) . I trust Weeksy ( yeah , I know he's a Scouser )
Potter can supply Weeksy with his verified ID . Weeksy will also need to know Potter's Registration Number and Title with The Engineering Council so that he can certify them here......
https://www.engc.org.uk/regcheck/
It's as simple as that ( if Potter is prepared to trust Weeksy with his data ) . I wish to see NONE of it
So Potter , over to you ! If I lose the bet , I will apologise unreservedly , pay up and if it is your wish , I'll leave the RTTL forum , never to return ( not even under an alias ! ) .
Happy to let Weeksy hold the stake if that is your wish
I would prefer other Forum Members NOT to post any thing until the bet is accepted or rejected by Potter

The best way to resolve a situation like this is to met up in real life for a fight.

I reckon MLSP isn't actually from the Internet and I'm prepared to wager three 3 litre bottles of white lightning.

People on the internets might not be what they say!
You know this is a website for motorcycle enthusiasts, right?
I don't think the Government read the site for engineering (or even monetary) advice. If anybody is using any of the advise posted here in a professional capacity I'd be worried if they weren't confirming it with a 3rd party. I make shit up all the time.
If Potter is charted or not, whatever he says is just opinion on the internet, take it or leave it.

What KFB says - you don't have to take any notice of what anyone writes. Or believe it. Just scroll by

Re: A Small Wager
WTF trigered this. Potter is a teller of occasionally tall tales, but so what. He is not offering professional advice to anyone. He knows if he is a CEng, and he isn't he will know he is a Walt. DIGAS either way.

What an odd thing to even make comment on never mind disbelieve. It's not exactly difficult to get registered if you've worked at a decent level for a few years, even without an engineering degree.
Tonight's job is it top and tail my application to the IMechE and get it sent off to my sponsors.
