Clauses in Insurance

Post by Newey »

Just wondering if you think new contracts will have clauses in them for unknown happenings in the world, seeing how this corona virus has messed up a lot of things, such as sports,( i mean how long has sell on clauses been around for football players now it's common place) TV/internet subscriptions , insurances, season tickets etc.

Dunno, I'm insured against virtually buggerall. Van, house, and public liability insurance in case something I build falls and kills some poor un suspecting customer.
I'm not even insured against the theft of my tools but I try to make it bloody hard for people to steal em by not being a flash git, and putting them in a massive toolsafe then parking my van as close to my house as I can.

When my bikes legal thats insured also but not right now.

I've heard theres a few people who haven't been able to claim for the Covid thing but I kind of lost faith when all the PPI shiit was going on so never took it on.

Its always a bet, the insurers figure that either the chances are little enough that they make the money or that they have better lawyers so wont have to pay out.

We as "the Insured" guess that its only 20 quid a month versus losing everything, might be worth it?

Never sure if I'm doing the right thing but who is?
