That's 90 euros worth right there! Should've tipped them.
You dont think I paid someone to fix it, not when YouTube is available!
€19 for a new battery and a 'donchyafugginbreak' when taking the back off.

Yeah...I misread it. You can write your own warranty on the repair. :D

(€19 for any sort of tech battery seems v reasonable, is that the genuine Samsung replacement in the pic?).

I went on a rescue mission today!! LOL Part way through making some soda bread, I get a call from a mate that lives just down from me. He'd gone for a walk with his dog, took a wrong turn and about an hour later realised he'd taken a wrong turn and had run out of energy, water, snacks and ability to walk back!!

So he called to see if my winter boss was working this summer. Didn't get a reply, so I said I'd get down to his place, get his car and drive to pick him up!

Thought I'd hitch down easily but I ended up getting the bus as far as I could and then managed to get a lift to his place.

He changed his car when he was back in the uk - I got to drive what I call a Monster Truck!!  A Ford Ranger Wildtrak thing. It's frikkin MASSIVE!!! I'm not fussed about big vehicles, but someone else's new big vehicle on mini mountain roads was interesting. But fun!! LOL And DAMN it's high up!! I really struggled to get in and out!

But, he's very happy I rescued him, so he's driving us to the valley for a 'doo' on Saturday afternoon :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde: (can't normally persuade him to go far from resort for a band or anything! )
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

Spent a bloody fortune. Thank fook its pay day tmrw.

10 speed cassette, chainrings, jockey wheels and chain for the road bike (present cassette and rings are 10 years old and well past their best, the front 50T ring is embarrassing). 10 speed stuff is getting rare as its mainly 11/12 speed now so rings are coming from Germany as that's the cheapest place I could find them. I also ordered two new tyres for it as the current Conti's with I've been running tubeless are fooked and leaking tyre jizz and not sealing. (£270)

Picked up the ZH2 from its service (£338)

Dog 2 to the vets, she has muzzle acne (aka deep skin infection on the chin). It's reasonably common but takes an age too clear so this is the second dose of 2 weeks worth of antibiotics. She may need a third. Dog 1 is on pain meds so more of them and more allergy tablets and finally some ear cleaner for dog 3 as the idiot sticks his head in every grassy pile looking for lost tennis balls so his ears need a flush. (£400)

In contrast to the above two posters, I didn't spend any money at all and actually scored some free shares

I got a letter from the DVLA.

A 'Last Chance'. It seems I forgot to tax the SL at the end of last month. I'm £290 poorer now (I'm sure it was only £265 last year).

I randomly spotted a way I could raise the seat height on my motorcycle, something I've sort of wanted to do but never enough to do something about it.

Anyway, 5 mins faffing and I'd evenly raised it about 10 mil, it's made a really appreciable difference.

Wish I'd done it it a while ago.

Mrs.Skub had a lucky escape today when her car reached the end of it's viable existence. She'd been tooshing along at 60/70mph earlier, but only noticed when she came back to the car in the carpark.

First decent run on the R without the Mrs on the back.

160 miles via Moffat and St Mary’s Loch.

I was sitting outside the cafe when a guy on a new S 1000 RR pulled away from the bike park, did a bit of a U turn and stalled it right in the middle of the road, just catching it before it hit the ground. A couple of guys rushed over to help him get it up.

Imagine the cost of just replacing one of those winglets.

£150 from a breaker and I'd just put 4 new tyres on it! I still feel like we dodged a bullet by Mrs.Skub not having one and safely breaking down in a carpark. Nobody died and we still got paid.

Made a widget to repair a trolley jack, listed some more stuff for sale, and made a couple of spacers and shortened some bolts on the lathe.

Rear arm rusted through. 15 years of salty schitt coming home to roost. It was a tidy looking little SR,but underneath showed the true picture.

Same thing happened to our son's Mk4 Golf - beam axle went. £140 for a new one, and a total bill of about £500 to replace it, with new bearings, bushes etc. That was at 260K miles, it's now at 310K. Yes, it was debatable, but the car is otherwise v good, and what can you get for £500?
