Chinese radiator hose kits.
Just wondering if anyone on here has tried them, if so, what their thoughts were on the quality and which supplier they used.
Quite varied reviews on the internet varying from, ‘great, you’d be a mug to pay for Samco’ to ‘you’re going to crash and die on your own coolant and it will serve you right you cheapskate!’
Thanks, Paul.

Re: Chinese radiator hose kits.
Never knowingly used them, but it is a fair bet that somewhere in China is a big factory making top quality hoses for high spec manufacturers.
Chinese firms can deliver top quality kit, Chinese firms will also rip you off rotten if you don't specify what you want, or don't bother to check what they have delivered.
Summary - it depends, on who is specifying/checking the quality.

I bought a CB400SF radiator for under £40 from China it was superb
I bought a CB400SF rear disk for £50 from China it was shit and warped the first time I used it.
Personally with coolant hoses I think you'll be alright, they're difficult to fuck up.

Not that difficult, or he wouldn't need a new one.Julian_Boolean wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 9:07 am Personally with coolant hoses I think you'll be alright, they're difficult to fuck up.

Had it actually failed, or does he just want shiny ones?Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 8:51 pmNot that difficult, or he wouldn't need a new one.Julian_Boolean wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 9:07 am Personally with coolant hoses I think you'll be alright, they're difficult to fuck up.

It was a failed front hose on a R1 track bike I’ve just bought, probably a stone strike but the bikes 20 years old and thought it might be a good time to put some new ones on.
