I can never get past that aspect of café racers, however well done they are. As a result I think I just don't like them. I suppose I just don't see the point of them really. They do seem to be the most popular type of build though.

I've owned a couple of MK1 Lemons, they're not too bad. They had rearsets as standard but pegs set further back, was on that bike, are pretty much required to stop knees constantly banging on the cylinder heads.

With a couple of small changes I'd happily own that.

I wouldn't care if i could ride it or not... That's right up there with my favourites.

Can it be ridden? Where's the battery? Mine had a almost car sized one, it'd be hard to hide even a smaller more efficient one under the seat.

The wiring is all-new, featuring an upgraded alternator, a keyless ignition, and a smorgasbord of Motogadget components.

A CNC-machined battery plate adds extra bracing to the engine and transmission; a common Tonti frame mod.

You'd assume it has a battery then too. Maybe it's just not installed for the pics.

I think the battery is next to the cardan output on the gearbox, there's a fancy cnc'ed plate that I think the battery is hung from.

That's lovely, albeit a bit of a torture rack to ride. It doesn't look that dissimilar to a cafe racer Guzzi built by a guy I used to know from the VFR forum. This is his:

Nice bit of work but not my favourite, how's about this for a beauty, proper 4 valve head motor

Looks like an elephant sat on it and squashed it flat.

The four valver is just so much better balanced.
