Word is that as well as the sports bike and the naked Tuono, there's an adventure bike Tuareg to use the same motor waiting in the wings.

Re: Middleweight class to be reborn? Italian goodness
Many years ago (around 2002) when out on my RD250LC I was overtaken by an Aprilia, sounded great, read on the tail hump " V60..??2 thought at first it was a 600cc Vtwin I I wanted one of them. 2004 and I got a Tuono.
16 years later and I'm wondering about a Royal Enfield Himalayan, still got the Tuono though but not the LC

Before I saw the aprilia stamp on the clutch cover I thought that was a Honda.weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 9:09 am https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-rev ... s660/2020/

The old RSVs had 60 degree V twins, rather than the 90s of Ducatis, VTRs, SVs etc. That's probably what the sticker referred to.
I quite like that new 660 'prila to be fair...can't help feel a bit short changed by a parallel twin, but that's how they all go now. Cheaper and lighter than an IL4! Plus its harking back to the long gone days of all sports bikes being brit twins
I actually prefer the yellow to the classic black/red graphics scheme.

It's a horrible clash with the gold fork legs and the red wheels / spring.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 11:16 amThe old RSVs had 60 degree V twins, rather than the 90s of Ducatis, VTRs, SVs etc. That's probably what the sticker referred to.

The puke colour might work if the wheels weren't red and maybe black forks.

In of itself it's ok I think. There's been at least 2 Guzzi's in a similar colour that I both like (V11 Sport and V7 Cafe Classic). But here it doesn't seem to gel with the other colours esp the red wheels. With black wheels, shock and forks I think it'd look ok

Easy, just get a different coloured one instead
Love the idea that its 170kgs full fueled, should be a blast
Must admit I was put off Aprilia after having a Pegaso for a while...

Re: Middleweight class to be reborn? Italian goodness
I certainly wouldn't buy one because of Tuono, Pegaso, Mille and even RSV4/TuonoV4 issues mates have had. None of the Aprilias either myself or mates have owned have ever been 100%.... Then again, not many bikes are.. but Aprilias seem more delicate to me and they'd have to spend a year or 2 proving to me that's not the case with this before it'd even be a consideration.

I think I'd risk an RSV4, but unlikely it would ever happen as I'd rather have a Ducatiweeksy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:41 amI certainly wouldn't buy one because of Tuono, Pegaso, Mille and even RSV4/TuonoV4 issues mates have had. Re: Middleweight class to be reborn? Italian goodness
I watched the Bennetts review on youtube last night and it sounded good. But there are LOTS of electronics on it which did make me wince a bit as there is a lot to go wrong beside any engine issues. KTM scare me enough I'm not sure I'm brave enough for an Prilla as I've heard to many stories as well.weeksy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 9:41 amI certainly wouldn't buy one because of Tuono, Pegaso, Mille and even RSV4/TuonoV4 issues mates have had. Re: Middleweight class to be reborn? Italian goodness
Great if buying new and dealt with quickly.... Nightmare if the bike is off the road for weeks and months at a time.

Very true. Ownership could be short and brand new is a must.
