Baja no tube pinch tyre tool

Post by Taipan »

The simple ideas are always the best, but sadly, often the most expensive too!

That's pretty neat. I bet that you could make something like that pretty easily.

Does this work on tubeless as well? Only because they always seem waaaay stiffer than tubed.

Wondered that too, I had a look at their site & they specifically say it's not for use on tubeless but only on safety grounds. As for whether it'd work at all I bet a longer lever would help it along if it was having difficulty.

Yeah because with tubed tyres surely a bog standard lever is normally sufficient right?

It looks much easier way to put a tyre on, bit also, a lot less rim damaging than levering against. Not sure why its touted as being for tubes only?

It works out at about £120.

My local fitter does tyres for about £10 a wheel.

So it pays for it's self after 12 tyres changes.

I find it easier to buy a new motorcycle when the tyres wear out.
