Which is about where I am. Which would surprise everyone in the republic of Brighton. They are all hard left, and anyone else is a neo nazi

Obama is closer to Hitler, just separated by a few extra rules.

I came out as a middle of the road libertarian which sounds about right.

Classic Iccy, sat on the fence, won't tell us what he really thinks :(
There is a difference between what I'd ideally like and what is possible when you're managing large groups of people.
So if it was a few of the more reasoned thinkers on a desert island then we'd all be libertarians, but if it was the whole forum then the reasoned thinkers would need to form a small control group and tell the others what to do.

William Golding wrote a book about it.
A libertarian society is academically a great idea. However humans get involved. And society is littered by examples on the left and right where people rob to support themselves and their own.
Hence boundaries are essential- which in most people eyes make it go towards authoritarian. Replace authoritarian with “structured” ( with authoritarian being the extreme form), and it makes more sense

Well obviously it depends whether you answer honestly or whether you answer "like the sheep you are within the system". Man.

Looks like we more or less all agree with each other. This forum has become pointless!

It’s “how I’d like people to see things.”

This "test" is clearly designed to get a certain answer.
I didn't like some of the options and I didn't like some of the answers I gave even if they're true, but if I answer honestly, then very unsurprisingly here I am...
Here I am, this morning. Last night I got off the fence and was in the blue, but the same distance to the right. Neither of these surprised me in the slightest; I may not manage thousands, but I do have to get a lot of other people to do their fecking job so I can do mine

Interesting how the USA has moved from Libertarian to Authoritarian looking at the Presidents too. At the same time they've clung onto the Libertarian ideas of the Wild West in terms of guns etc. 'Land of the free-ish'?

I suppose the bigger and more densely packed a population gets, the more rules are required. Japan seems to have developed cultural rules rather than government rules to deal with some of that.

I think the test isn't badly designed tbh and it's all quite interesting.

I'm surprised at the number of politicians that took the test, especially dead ones.

Captain James T. Kirk
You’re the captain himself! You’re a responsible, yet fun, leader who carries the weight of the well-being of your crew on your shoulders. You tend to be hard on yourself, but you definitely know how to have fun! You’re not afraid to bend the rules to get what you want, and you tend to rely on intuition rather than logic, as your good friend Spock would.

Better to test politicians on what they actually do/did than on what they say/said.

But I found the questions a bit odd.

I saw a very interesting program about Nazi Germany this week, and apart from the racism, the Nazis were very left wing Socialists, and are a really good example of how to fuck running a country up.
Really, i think as they nearly took over the world they done a fairly good job, Hitler was a just mental.
