Simple things in life, innit.
Try this with the same bread, peanut butter, then a smear of HP Sauce.

They want £100 for a copy of the white album and £50 for an original pressing of Bowie's Hunky Dory.

These were my most recent purchases...
You lot are aware of Discogs.com right?

https://www.discogs.com/release/422921- ... Hunky-Dory

I literally live on that website.

I used to be able to get some good bargains at charidy shops for old vinyl but they are all savvy to Discogs now and normally price everything that is in fairly decent condition to the medium it sold for.

I have numerous records worth over £200 i probably paid a tenner for just a few years ago.

It's all the ltd ed stuff and mint originals that fetch all the money. I also find tracks/albums that were not released on anything but 1 media type fetch a fair few bucks, i have CD's worth £70/£80 quid, some of them are CD singles!

Also anything that contains exclusive additional media such as an LP with a 1 track 7" included that can only be found in the LP release. I have seen just the 7" from such packages go for 10x the price of the full release!

Found a dormouse trapped in a bucket under the hazel tree in the garden, wouldn’t normally handle one as they’re protected but he might have been there some time, gave him a drink and let him climb back into the trees.

Standing in the garage yesterday doing some work on MTB and noticed something out the corner of my eye..

I little baby DUCK !!!! wandering round outside... I went to shoo it away and what do you know, the bugger runs past me and into the garage.

Me, Mrs Weeksy and weeksy08 then spend the next 45 mins trying to catch the little bugger into a box. EVENTUALLY after removing half the contents of the garage and a lot of cursing, Donald was in the box and Mrs Weeksy took it round the corner to the pond.

weeksy08 was disappointed as he wanted to keep it as a pet...

the wife took some pics, but i didn't get one.

As a bit of a hoarder, I have a ton of stuff lying about in the garden. I try to make sure any buckets, bowls or plastic tubs are "stored" inverted.

I have a carrier bag of assorted extension cables in the garage. Having need of one I rummaged in the bag and pulled out...an adult toad!

Obviously it decided that it was a good gaff to overwinter in.

Saw it around for a few years after that (it became 'Terence the Terrace Toad' as it seemed to appear on the lower patio in warm rainy weather' and occasionally heard it crashing through the undergrowth ie lavender bushes in the front garden. Lovely big specimen.

My Sis in law works for Morrison's. They had a delivery of loose bottles and cans to be bundled and discounted. Being a conscientious worker, my SIL said to the store manager, 'Fuck off, I've not got time for that' and informed him that she was going to sell them to staff for a tenner a tray, minus staff discount. I found myself outside the loading bay last night, stacking my car with six big trays of assorted beers, for £8.50 a tray....

I go to a school that has quite rural grounds even though it is less than a mile from the centre which has had some random animal invasions!

We have had so far a baby deer in one of the pupil toilets, mice in the staffroom, blackbird in one of the classes, fox in the front office and last week a squirell in one of the classrooms.

Apparently the Deer was an ex BBC employee!

Few days ago I was clearing out a neighbours drains...

Image

Which leads to a soakaway I should expect because he water level never fully drains. Anyhow, thought it wise to poke around with a stick...

Image

When a toad pops up. How it survived being poked with a stick I don't know but it looked fine.

he wouldn't/couldn't climb up the stick so I made a little ladder.

Image

And a couple of miniyutes later he escapes.

Image

And I carried him back to my pond...

Image

Made me happy anyway....

We're not allowed under desk PCs at work any more, too many incidents of people knocking cups of coffee over and killing them

Went on a little mission with a neighbour yesterday to try and get some more DJ gigs.

Managed to secure us an all night set on friday 4th Aug at the legendary Star and Garter in St Pauls.

Will be spinning from 8pm till 2pm with another 2 DJ's so come down if your around. Vinyl only. Good vibes guaranteed.

Out peppering all the local haunts with our flyer tonight. This will be our first gig under our new 'Rebel Melodies' pseudonym we intend to push quite hard around the city for a while.
