CBR650? Had a trainee out with one on Mon and Tue this week.

It's reasonably sensible in terms of ergos - much more like the original CBR600F than the later RR model. Quite pretty, actually with its not-quite-a-Fireblade looks.

Fifty year old blokes with pot bellies on race reps looks so naff it's embarrassing.
Not as naff as a young kid who can't ride the fucker ;)
Particularly when the young kid also has a pot belly ;)

My Dad, 63, has a CBR650. 15 years ago he had a CBR600RR. I would say the difference in the two bikes is pretty much the same as the difference in my Dad :D

If riding bikes was all about comfort and practicality, we'd all be riding NTV650s with aftermarket fairings! 😲😲
I think that's probably one of the most underrated (unrecognised?) improvements in motorcycles in the last decade or so - you can now buy a nice bike that isn't uncomfortable to ride, copes brilliantly with every day road riding and in the hands of a normal person it will go around a track just as fast as a race rep.

I resemble (or did anyway) that remark. Back in the day I had an NTV650 with a big aftermarket twin headlamp fairing, think it may have been Powerbronze?
Up until only a few months ago I owned an NT700 Dullville, did everything I wanted apart from excite me in any way at all!

Word is that as well as the sports bike and the naked Tuono, there's an adventure bike Tuareg to use the same motor waiting in the wings.

Many years ago (around 2002) when out on my RD250LC I was overtaken by an Aprilia, sounded great, read on the tail hump " V60..??2 thought at first it was a 600cc Vtwin I I wanted one of them. 2004 and I got a Tuono.
16 years later and I'm wondering about a Royal Enfield Himalayan, still got the Tuono though but not the LC

Before I saw the aprilia stamp on the clutch cover I thought that was a Honda.

The old RSVs had 60 degree V twins, rather than the 90s of Ducatis, VTRs, SVs etc. That's probably what the sticker referred to.

I quite like that new 660 'prila to be fair...can't help feel a bit short changed by a parallel twin, but that's how they all go now. Cheaper and lighter than an IL4! Plus its harking back to the long gone days of all sports bikes being brit twins :D

I actually prefer the yellow to the classic black/red graphics scheme.

It's a horrible clash with the gold fork legs and the red wheels / spring.

The puke colour might work if the wheels weren't red and maybe black forks.

That pillion seat

Is this a crack in the frame about the rear MC

That's like when British Leyland sent cars to press launches with dodgy panel gaps.

In of itself it's ok I think. There's been at least 2 Guzzi's in a similar colour that I both like (V11 Sport and V7 Cafe Classic). But here it doesn't seem to gel with the other colours esp the red wheels. With black wheels, shock and forks I think it'd look ok

I certainly wouldn't buy one because of Tuono, Pegaso, Mille and even RSV4/TuonoV4 issues mates have had. None of the Aprilias either myself or mates have owned have ever been 100%.... Then again, not many bikes are.. but Aprilias seem more delicate to me and they'd have to spend a year or 2 proving to me that's not the case with this before it'd even be a consideration.
