Rubbish motorcycle slogans and acronyms
I just spotted this is the MCN CF Moto 800NK gallery...
Reminded me of all the crap they used to put on bikes back in the 90's.
I was especially jealous of RXS100 owners because my GP100 didn't have Energy Induction...
Or the howabouts the RGV250, REAL SPRINTER!
and who thought Full Floater was a good idea?
What you got?

Re: Rubbish motorcycle slogans and acronyms
You've already nicked a few of the good ones, but I'll add Grand Prix Spirit to the RGV250 hall of shame.
But - to be fair the Full Floater thing was about the shock not being directly connected to the frame top or bottom. And not about turds in swimming pools.

BMW had Ultimate Riding Machine in 1981. Seems they were wrong.

FZ750 had "Pure Sports" on the stickers, later ones showed a love of Phil Collins by having Genesis stickers.

It was a balance pipe between the vacuum ports on the carbs.demographic wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2023 8:03 pm I even had an XJ 550 but I'm ferked if I remember what Yamahas Intergrated Control System did that was so special.
My XT350 had YDIS, which shouldn't be misspelled
Other great Yamaha acronyms
Exhaust Ultimate Power valve
Yamaha Power Valve System
Fresh Air Intake
My YZ125 had a boost bottle on the intake, that had a Yamaha acronym, but I can't remember what it was.

Not a manufacturer thing, but my mate had an RXS 100 that had been owned by a riding school called 'Pass masters'.

Re: Rubbish motorcycle slogans and acronyms
Not quite what the thread's about but calling little bikes (with little luggage capacity) 'GT' always made me smirk.

I have a sticker from Performing Berks magazine:
Performance Enhanced Noise Induction System.
I think it's on one of my toolboxes.

Any bike with numbers in it's name and the numbers aren't the CC. For example the F 750 GS.

How accurately are you judging that?Trinity765 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 7:39 am Any bike with numbers in it's name and the numbers aren't the CC. For example the F 750 GS.
The Honda 400Four was 408cc.
