The 02 is where I last saw them in 2017. I bought a massive Iron Maiden flag at the end of the gig and displayed it at Duxford the next day. Awesome weekend that was.

I do? Streatham doesn't sound like it's anywhere near Hertford!
Mine last train will be Stratford to Hertford.

Just noticed my actual train leaves at 1 min to midnight. Wonder if I can get the driver to knock a min off.

Excellent gig, they are still so good live. Sorry Robbie mate, I'm sure you're worth it, but not for me!

Forgotten I'd booked this for my dad for Fathers Day until I saw another ad for it today. My Dad told me ages ago about listening to this when it was broadcast originally when he was a kid, sitting on the rug with his family. Scared the pants off him So grabbed tickets for the 2 of us. Folks are gonna stay with us so we can get the train (Mum looks after the kids, touch ) and have a few jars. Should be good hopefully.

70 years after it first wowed and terrified audiences, Nigel Kneale’s The Quatermass Experiment is back at its home, Alexandra Palace. Originally broadcast over six weeks in the summer of 1953, the seminal but largely missing serial is finally brought back to life for this one-off, live reading using the original scripts.
The British Experimental Rocket Group’s first manned space flight returns to Earth with two of the three crew missing. Professor Bernard Quatermass must work out not only what has happened to the missing crew but also what *is* happening to Victor Caroon, the sole survivor. What he discovers has horrifying consequences for the whole world.
This unique production stars Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen, Doctor Who, Sherlock) as Quatermass. Other members of the cast include Scott Arthur (Steeltown Murders, Elden Ring, Good Omens), Toby Hadoke (Count Magnus, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street) and Carrie Thompson (Powertool Cheerleaders Vs The Boyband Of The Screeching Dead, Red Rose).

I think they are referring to returning to Ally Pally where it was first broadcast from originally and using/doing it as a radio play not an acted piece. So it should be fairly close to what my dad listened to 70 years ago. I love radio plays and so does dad so hopefully it'll be good.Horse wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 4:41 pmFinally?

I used love listening to the ventriloquists on the radio, back in the day.
