Wow
I'm not sure I've ever seen anything other than a bog stock Jota. The purists must be sharpening their knives.
This is hideous.

If it didn't have the Jota name I don't think it would raise many eyebrows as an example of a street bike. It's nicely done but the colour scheme isn't to my taste and the belt drive is possibly a step too far. The owner likes it so

Looks like a BMW F800ST/GT swingarm and belt drive, the wheels too, but the front end looks either early 00's Kawasaki or Honda.

I quite like the overall look but that tank llos way to small for any serious riding.

Re: THE TASTY TRIPLE: LAVERDA JOTA 1000 CUSTOM
Whoever built it would do everyone a service by removing the motor and carbs, selling it to a Laverda enthusiast, and sticking a Harley-Davidson motor (any one will do) in that space instead. It wants to be a Harley, so let it be, and allow someone who will actually appreciate the motor to have the use of it.
As an aside, it does serve to show just what a big old lump the Jota motor was. It probably weighs half of the all-up dry weight.

It's trying wayyyyyy too hard, but I've no idea what it's trying to be, perhaps a Triumph Hurricane or an MV Dragster

Now normally I love a resto mod, but this thing is just wrong on every level and at every angle!

Re: THE TASTY TRIPLE: LAVERDA JOTA 1000 CUSTOM
Too many colours going on. Red and orange on the same bike?
If it was painted tastefully instead of clown colours,it might be ok.
Incidentally,we talk about modern bikes being too heavy? The original Jota weighed 265 kilos, this custom has shed 50 of those kilos. That's a lot.

I think it's hideous but I reckon I'd enjoy riding it more that a standard Jota - they're like sitting on a row of breeze blocks.
