Pog was unstopable in the spring but yesterday not so good, I wouldn't write him off yet. UAE could bring him back on the right day, if/whenever that is or maybe they'll switch to Yates.
Hindley, may be up to it but is the team?
Vingego-go-go is looking good though. I did laugh at him asking for help, then dragging the others along who mugged him for the bonus seconds.
i don't think Vingo had much choice, but what baffled me was that if they'd gone all in with him and taken turns, they may have even caught Hindley for the win.
Bora isn't bad.. but in reality at the moment, all the main teams are struggling massivley once the going gets hard, none of them are holding the pace at all. Yates a bit, Kuss a bit... the rest.. nowhere. I think it's a weird tour up to now for sure.
I was going out on the bike today, but when I looked at the stage profile I decided to stay in & spend the day watching the full stage again For some reason, this year I've not watched any cycling since the Spring Classics,so apart from Vingegaaard & Pogacar I'm not so sure who else can win.
I hope Van Aert,VDP & Alaphillipe win a few stages
WvA, VdP and Allap are sort of on form, sort of not. They're all trying on a few stages but found wanting each time.. I think at least one of them will get a stage at some part, but they're battling riders who are arguably on better form mostly.

It looked like one of them wanted to give it a shot but his team boss got on the blower. He didn't look very happy about it, shook his head and did as he was told.

One thing I've learrned from watching Le Tour over many years is that riders form often changes over the 3 weeks.Lets see if any of them ride into form.
It also seems unusual to me for the TDF to be going over the Tourmalet so early in the race

nah, as with most humans watching, i'm hoping for Cavendish
Well, yes but I'm not sure he's quite that universally popular.
Anyways.....events overtake me....
Thinking back I wonder if Pog was acutely aware of what was coming yesterday and the fact that he'd have a couple of 'easy' days after and didn't empty the tank the day before? Not that he'd plan to lose so much time but that performance on the Tourmalet stage must have been pretty for Vingegaard.
