I'd be well up for a jar or two, but appreciate that the cost of postage will at least double the cost. Still sounds like a bargain to me, though.

One pound jars are about a tenner a shout at Farmer's Markets and the like IME. I suppose you don't have to buy from somewhere which charges the Yuppie tax, but no-one else sells it :D

My local 'health food' shop sells locally branded honey but I think it's a group of keepers that banded together and pool resources and product so they have a certain scale. My friend and neighbour used to supply from her 3 or 4 hives but gave it up and moved to Shropshire...production was limited anyway and quantities varied quite a lot from year to year.

I note the availability of organic honey....I wondered how you'd make non-organic honey. (Wife says organic is made with pollen only from organic plants, but, unless the hives are completely surrounded for some distance with only organic produce, how can they be sure? Most peoples gardens probably wouldn't qualify for organic certification! :D )

The area around where Yambo lives is a huge pine honey producer. It’s wonderful stuff and pretty cheap.

Ha!

Just googled it, never occurred to me to do that before. Finest Milton Keynes (Milton Kenzien?) honey. He's like 500m from my house! Probably even part funded by my Lavender :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I've never posted jars before, I'll look into it and see how much it'd cost, however if you're anywhere near Wadebridge Cornwall, Rutland or builth wells we'll be near you over the next few months👍

It’s a real case of 50/50 as to which thread this goes in! But I’ll go with positive!!

Got the results of a French test today. Bloody wish I’d done it back at the end of April when my reading and writing was much better. Haven’t read or written much in French for two months

BUT. For spoken French I got a B2 which is freaking bloody awesome.

The reason I nearly put it in the other thread is because I’m proper peeved cos I think that, had i not had a two month gap in reading and writing, I’d have got a sound B2 all round. As it is, that half o f the test was low so my official ’grade’ is a B1+.

But still. Not bad at all for a dyspraxic with some dyslexia :bblonde:

Had 2 big things happen today
One financial and other to ease my anxiety, a lot.

Walked in bar and saw a pal smiling as much as me.

He said "I'm winning at life "

I walked out thinking the same thing

A new looky looky man has appeared in town.
6'5" and black as the ace of spades.

More bling than most and got the usual patter.

The couple near us asked where he was from.

Barnsley. They laughed as they're Blackpool.
I asked, really?

Yup, he came out with proper Barnsley accent and the patter :D

No idea how or why, but I'll find out :D

Seeing the Gremlinette off out the front door for her first 'girls holiday' to Cyprus. Having told me several times she didn't need a hand with packing her case, nor advice of time to leave for the airport, or that she didn't need to be a bit more organised or make a list of things to take as she was a 'strong, independent woman', it was actually quite gratifying when, as she gave me a hug goodbye by the car, I asked her if she had her passport, to which she simply replied, 'Oooh, shit' before dashing inside.

'It's on the desk in the study' I said with no hint of smugness as she rushed past me.

The missus is having an early night so I'm having a couple at a trendy bar close by.

One of the waiters is a he/she/they and looked a bit strange.

Then I realised.

They woke up this morning and thought i want to go out looking like this.

And that's good. Everyone should be able to do what they want, if it's legal
