Would you watch MotoGP if it were a one make championship?
As the title really, would you watch MotoGP if all the bikes were the same, still a top level race bike or if it were like Moto 2 and everyone used the same engine?

Not really, the teams would still own the bikes and be able to do what they wanted with suspension

I'm being facetious, this years Championship is pretty much a Ducati Cup anyways.
There's only been one non-Ducati win and four non-Ducati podiums.

Re: Would you watch MotoGP if it were a one make championship?
I get that it's the ultimate level of bike racing & I was a obsessed by MotoGP up to approx 2010 but I feel like it's turned into two wheeled F1 & I lost interest in it.As a 'ordinary fan',I get the impression that it's so far uo its own elitist arse that it can go & choke on its corporate lunch.
It's gone the same way as F1 & Football, not for me any more
Given the choice of a day out between BSB,a club meeting or MotoGP I would take either of the first two over MotoGP.
In my world Endurance is where it's at these days

Yes, it's the pinnacle of bike racing, which attracts the cream of racers. Everything else is second class racing

If like Moto2 they had a 300 BHP engine each. Then do what they like.
But ban ride height shite.
I couldn't watch 30 bikes looking the same.
But top riders on similarly equal bikes would be good.

A.) It's never going to happen, so why waste time discussing it. IMHO
B.) Good luck finding an engine supplier that everyone agrees on that can produce a reliable 300bhp over-the -counter litre engine.
c.) The engine is such a fundamental part of a totally prototype racing motorcycle that trying to standardise on a single engine would kill the interest, and the class, stone dead.

I think it was a rhetorical question.
And in reply to you saying you don't watch it coz of cost.
We have it free here, but I'd pay £50 a month to watch it. Been in my blood since Sheene in early 80s

We can watch it free here,ITV4 I think, but I've no interest so I've not watched it for over a decade.
It's been in my blood since I was a teenager, fact is,these days I've no interest in MotoGP. no matter how many different bikes are involved.
I'm still hooked on racing, but I prefer Endurance,BSB & going down to Aintree for a day watching the club racing.
