Ah, but we only rent them in summer season when there are chair lifts! (TBF, all the downhill mountain bikers use the lifts as well - more fun to cycle down than up!! LOL )

Cleaning all the floors and laying down the flea killer stuff. Mopping hard floors and spraying them. Hoovering and putting the "special" safe for cats and dogs powder down. Swept it into the carpet and will hoover that up in 4 days with many deadeded insects, including fleas. Have all the windows open to aerate the house. Flea bombs are also going to be used in the lounge area to sort the soft furnishings out as well.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Great 4 hour enduro. Just 2 of us. Mark hates to lead even though he's better than me and 10 year younger. So I had to make it interesting.
I was quite brave and picked some tough stuff to make it interesting.
But big thing was the forks. I'd forgotten to bleed the aircrew until yesterday. Wow. Was like a new bike again. Much more confidence.
And all this swimming is paying off. No tired arms
Straight in the pool and cool beer being consumed

Bollocks, caught COVID. Three years of avoiding it, suppose it had to happen sooner or later. Ive started handshaking and bisous-ing again, and licking faces natch', only a matter of time.
That said, it's not too bad, those chinesey science boffins need to try harder.
Still, I have a lovely peaceful sunny garden to do feck all in.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Didn't get to watch the Sprint yesterday as I went to my friends' wedding celebration. The marriage was in the valley at the Mairie and then they came back up for the party!
These French wedding celebrations are way more chilled (not literally! Well not till the sun hid behind the mountain!!) than in the UK. No timetable, seemingly no plan. Just a lot of booze in the sunshine on the terrace of the cafe/bar opposite me! Food early evening and the pile of choux was shared out around midnight!!
Downside was that none of use remembered hats (I could have gone home for one but forgot that I normally need one ), we all shared a lot of sun screen cream and once the sun went down behind the mountain, damn it got cold quick - then I did go home and get a jumper!!
But what a fab day and evening!
What a view to have a celebration in front of!
Centre piece - one is from Angers and the other from Holland!
Setting sun - no totally full on colours, but beautiful anyway -
The last of the pile of choux
Met another friend's most gorgeous 5.5month old puppy. Damn that cutie was so very well behaved!! And so very Cute! Not sure Roxanne some be letting her chew her shoes, but she's not mine, so I didn't comment!! ;

I tripped over the fan in the lounge last week and broke it so I've upgraded a bit.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Aaaargh! Just had a friend round to sort that electric socket issue. I know he's a 'handyman' and I know he had electrics qualifications, but he does make me laugh!
He did a load of tests and looked at the 'fuse board' (not what he called it! but it's what it looks like to me!) and said that for that particular socket, the wire colours had been done opposite to how they should have been (and the wires into the fuse board had all sorts of colours going in all sorts of places!! )
So, good job I waited for someone else to do it!!
But, as he went to test it, he said he'd made the wires go into the right places in the socket. Ok I said (thinking quietly to myself - but they are the wrong way in the board, so shouldn't we keep them the wrong way?!)!!! Anyway, luckily he has a plug in tester thingy that should show two green lights and make a noise when it's all good.
Nope - it showed a red light and beeped So he put the wires back the wrong way around Then it showed green lights and a long noise (not beeping!!)
Ok, I'm laughing, but I am glad he has the testing equipment so that I am now confident all is good!
I feel like I've got a hangover from too much sun yesterday, so it's been a very long afternoon (And how do I always forget that he chews with his mouth open )
BUT - I do have working sockets where I wanted them

Played golf this morning before coming home and doing sweet fook all. Slowly but surely getting there, it’s a frustrating game at times.

Very hot MTB with a mate (30C here on the Sarf Coast). Now getting ready to cook a BBQ.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Re: What have you done today thread?
I started early to avoid the heat, so today I have done this:
It wasn't cheap or easy so if that fails or the problem spreads I'll probably get a man in.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I nearly died of heatstroke when i was 9yo.
I was in Wales - yes Wales! making sandcastles when the next thing i know it's 3 days later and i am waking up in hospital.
I went into a 3 day comma apparently, on IV drip etc, not my most positive holiday that one!

He was lucky - if they hadn't got to him in time it could have been full stop.
