I'm surprised they've labelled something that shape a trombone!
Ha!

All the time I was typing my reply I was mentally picturing a saxaphone and I could 'hear' saxaphone. But wrote trombone.

Funny old things, Brians.

Worked on the ZX11
Went shopping... discovered there's some odd looking mid-week Walmartians in this town.
Bought tickets for tonight's $400M PowerBall lottery & Friday's $320M MegaMillions

Doing the West Hollywood thing tomorrow:
Just downloaded my tickets for tomorrow nights Graham Bonnet Band gig at the Viper Room... which will be preceded by stuffing my face at The Rainbow which is about 300 yards down the street.. Plan to park behind the Whisky which is right across the street from the Viper Room...
GBB is the headliner of three bands, so likely it will be way past my bedtime when they hit the stage.

Summer’s here, time to strip off the fairing as it really holds in the heat from the engine.Makes filtering a lot easier too.

Started stretching the cross stitch I did for some friends who are getting married on Saturday.

Image

Only when I did the second round of moving fabric and pins did I realise I had the date wrong FFS  A year wrong in fact

So, unpinned it from the board and changed the date!!

Now letting it 'rest' in between stretching so I can put it in a make shift frame, or at least, create a makeshift frame for it for now. No idea how or where to get a frame that deep here , or mounting board cut to shape. But at least they can see the general idea and I'll sort out a frame later!!

Six months probationary review.

I don't think the boss could have been anymore gushing about how awesome I am, even gave me a pay rise.

I hate to think how shit the previous guy must have been.

Busy day so far. Was in the sea at 8:00. It's lovely and warm this time of year. Half hour swim. Shower, walked the dog. Having brekky now in the sun waiting for MotoGP in a bit :)

Keyrings!

I had my old Apinestars jacket properly adjusted/restored/re-zipped a few years back. I've still got the keyrings on the pocket zips

Went to have a chat with the guys I'll be working for this summer. I know Alex since my first season, but haven't seen him for a while and Fabian and I have spoken a few times.

Went to the garage to chat and get more information (in fast french!) about the bikes, scooters and general job stuff :D

They do downhill scooters :o :o

Image

But, the one I'm interested in trying is the electric scooters. These don't do the downhill trails that the bikes do (the other scooter does greens and blues!), but they are good for the fire tracks/4x4 tracks on the mountain. Quite looking forward to having a go :D Bit interesting as it's a thumb accelerator!!

Went out to the garage with the intention of tinkering, change of plans & ended up pottering instead.

In a semi-related note, today I purchased a copy of the 2011 vinyl reissue of the Foo Fighters first album 'Foo Fighters'.

I've already bought it on CD twice (the first CD wore out) and I have it on MP3 and FLAC.
