Tour de France: Unchained - Netflix Series
Started watching this last night with my girlfriend. It's similar to the F1 Drive to Survive and various Sunderland/Man City football docu-dramas.
Really quite engrossing to the casual and non-follower of professional cycling.
Might be a bit too soap opera for any avid pro cycling fans but I would still recommend watching the first couple of episodes. It's based on the 2022 Tour which I missed completely so I was getting quite wrapped up in the stages of each episode.

Yeah enjoying the insight to the tactics, thoughts, developement, planning etc... Obviously i watch a LOT of cycling so i'm aware of many aspects, but this picks up plenty of other bits.

Finished this last night. I didn't watch any of the Tour last year and didn't know any of the results so the final two episodes were edge of the seat stuff. My missus thought it was *that* good that she wants to watch it again. She might even watch some of the Tour now.

I am half way through and I am really enjoying it.
The thing that’s stuck with me is when the fella said “being in the peloton, is like being in a traffic jam, but at 200mph”

It just gets better the further into the series you go. The on-board footage from the cyclists is quite alarming even when the peloton is moving smoothly.formula400 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 11:11 am I am half way through and I am really enjoying it.

As someone who has at best a passing interest in the Tour, I'm now keen to follow this year's event and have only just realised that I'll be across in France at the same time - no idea if we'll be staying/passing close to the Tour route but I certainly hope so.
