It's the fact they've actually titled it "Motor Scooter" in the ad which sells it for me.

Shouldn't be too difficult. (It's probably changed now but I got a car through MoT test without a working speedo. Something to do with wording - it had a speedo fitted and that met the test requirement. I'd have said that a non-working speedo isn't actually a speedo. :D It was either that or it's not a tested item on the list of things checked).
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

It certainly used to be 'fitted'. I passed a bike MOT numerous times with a fitted Speedo and no/broken drive cable.

I love buzzing round town on a scoot. I kinda have one, a sh125. It's my StepDads but he's had his license taken away and it doesn't look like DVLA are going to give it him back. So the bike is languishing in his garage. It had a rear wheel puncture but he took both wheels off and now can't find some of the bolts. I should go round and fix the puncture and get the wheels back on it and an MOT and I can use it then. I cant be arsed though...

Seeing as the C50/70/90 was never sold here, it will have to be the Honda Walleroo. 2 stroke, lots of tuning bits available, no chain to worry about.

I do have a 250cc scooter, but I get a pang of envy seeing all the oldboys in the local town on their ancient mopeds
