Out today on the big bike and 3rd bird strike to the head in the last month. Pigeon in Wales 4 weeks ago that I saw incoming and pushed my head down so it hit the top instead of the visor, something smaller last week hit off the chin bar and a little bird today that left a few wing feathers stuck between the peak and the visor

I went out for a quick spin on the Street Triple,it's looking like thunder but so far it's held off.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Cracking ride out to Manningtree for a spot of breakfast. Left at 8 and the weather was perfect. Took a good route which took about 1.45 mins without much traffic and decent set of bends. Quick stop for fuel and to sort my sat nav out but other than that perfect summers morning. Lovely
Was there about 10 mins when I heard @Le_Fromage_Grande turn up, good to finally meet him in person Had a bit of a chat and then we rode up to Sudbury where LFG branched off towards Ipswich.
Ride home was good if hot, anything under 50mph was a bit sweaty so that was my excuse for upping the pace Stopped for some water near Saffron Walden and then back home. Threw the bike in the garage and got some shorts on ASAP and a cold beer. Perfect day.
Even remembered to take a pic of the bikes, which I normally forget. Typical a grumpy bastard in a van arrived just as I went to take it!

Today is supposed to be the last day of the wall to wall sunshine weather,so it would be rude not to.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I had a tour around the Yorkshire Dales from Barnard Castle to Hawes, Ingleton, Devil's Bridge, Sedbergh and back via Teesdale, about 170 miles in all and back home just after midday.
I stopped at Devil's Bridge for a cuppa. I had a wander round and it struck me that sports bikes are not very common, there was a Panigale and a Fireblade but that was about it, everything else was mostly adventure bikes or cruisers. It also struck me how old bikers are these days, I'm sure I brought the average age down

I had one hit the padding right next to my eye one day.. so the leading edge of its wing hit along my eyebrows. I had the weirdest damn bruise for about a week. Didn't hurt as much as the pheasant I killed with my sternum thoughBigyin wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 5:47 pm Out today on the big bike and 3rd bird strike to the head in the last month. Rode out to explore the Murcia District today. Some great views, and finally the weather is changing for the better, as its been "British weather" for the last six weeks.

Took the Zuki to my mate's shop on the dock road for it's MOT,passed no advises
He has a old BSA in there that the owner is going to have to sell,he's getting to old to kick start it & his wife wants the money to go towards some house stuff...
I took the scenic route home, took a photo for the riding challenge thread, all in yet another day of glorious sunshine.

Today, into London again. Getting back into the filtering LAC on the M25 and M4. Washed last year's ACF50 off at the weekend, put her on paddock stands and gave her a 'half weeksy' as I call it. MOT passed again with no advisories end of last month. Seriously enjoying riding again, might do a weekend camping in Wales this summer if anyone fancies talking bollocks round the fire at Fforest Ffields.

Away at 7am and back around lunchtime. Tis a beautiful day for empty roads.

Pausing for a moment at The Shepherd & Dog, Fulking on the way back from picking up my bike. Wot-a-palaver. I love it to bits! It's not the bikes fault it's made by Triumph.

More of the same for me, discovering a few new roads and villages making the most of the great weather.
Out early and back by lunch, it was warm today, OK on the move but that exhaust is noticeable in this heat when stopped at lights etc.
