Has he done anything illegal though?
Oh and did you manage to find that climate change link you were looking for the other day, I must have missed it but I've been at work and not scratting about my house in my undercrackers watching daytime TV.

No he didn't and that's why he's not in prison like his brother.demographic wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 5:31 pm

Him and his brother are evidently attracted to boys under 16, although Phillip claims he waits until they're over 16 before he actually penetrates them.
It's not like he wandered into a party and found a willing 19yr old and just got stuck in, he took this kid under his wing at 15.
In fact, if Prince Andrew lost his job and social status and has to hide away for the rest of his life for having sex with a willing 19yr old at a party, then Schofield deserves at least the same treatment for this.

Re: In todays news...
I recall my dad being arrested in Spain following a 'fracas' with the German band who were playing in the hotel we were staying at. Our holiday was extended by about a fortnight as the Spanish authorities decided what to do with him. In the end they kicked him (and us) out of the country and he was told never to come back.Yorick wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 1:26 pm They don't fuck about here...

Judith Chalmers never mentioned that part of a Spanish holiday back in the 70's.

Gerges, chairman of contemporary Middle Eastern studies at London School of Economics, pointed out that French police - rather than anti-terror investigators - have made it clear that they are in charge of the case. He also stressed nothing was known publicly about the suspect’s profile or motivations.Ant wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 4:11 pm Syrian man with refugee status.........the Gary Linekars probably still won't see the wood for the trees....

This, he said, indicates that the attack is currently "not terrorist driven", although he did concede that it is important to "wait and see what the investigation shows".
However, some racialist and small time right-wing commentators did not wait for those inquiries to finish and quickly used the attack to pedal an anti-migration and anti-refugee narrative, Gerges warned.

Re: In todays news...
Typed 'Annecy' into Twitter's search bar and many tweets are from right wing nutjobs who are more irate at not being allowed to show a video of toddlers being stabbed, than the fact that toddlers were stabbed. If it had been done by a French national, they wouldn't even have bothered mentioning it.
The suggestion that this Syrian is a Christian seems to have have left them completely confused. "He's about as Christian as Sunak is a British Tory" being one that stood out in particular.

Might stay off FB for a bit as Annecy is a bit close to where I am and I can't be bothered to read all the hate! From the above you implicitly condone behaviour like this on the basis that because it's been done before that makes it acceptable now.demographic wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 8:17 pmWhy would he lie?Mussels wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 7:41 pmIf a nearly 60 year old bloke got a teenage girl a job on his show as a runner and then started having sex with her I'm pretty sure that would raise eyebrows too.demographic wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 5:31 pm
I'm obviously missing something here, did Schofield do anything illegal?
Or is it just the same old people who hated the gays using another reason to hate the same people?
Plus, I've not seen Schofield on the box for yonks, so I guess it's outed the elderly and daytime TV watchers
If he thought there was nothing wrong then why did he lie about it?
Isn't that standard procedure for anyone having an affair?
Bit weird and waay more of an age gap than I'd do but has he done anything illegal? You know, like Led Zep keeping an underage girl on a tour bus and only letting her out to hose the jiz out?
Or Bill Wyman with his 13 year old girlfriend who I can't remember the name of right now. Mandy Smith?
It's all a bit clutching at pearls isn't it?
Good grief.

Did you miss the part where I said it was waay more of an age gap than I would be happy with?
Mind, I guess you've had a long spell of daytime TV to really become annoyed with Schofield.
I can see it now, paddling round the house in yer trollies looking like the Martians from Mars Attacks and winding yourself up.
Ugh, maybe better not.
