Swapping my 46 year old hat for a 26 year old hat I reckon I'd be interested in a ZX6. That website says £10,500 which is £1,500 more than a Yamaha R7 which would be absolutely rinsed by the ZX6. It also provides a full on sportsbike for £10k mark rather than the £16k+ of most of the litre bikes. There's a potential for young uns to want them I reckon. I still see a lot of sportsbikes out in Essex.

I imagine the Kawasaki bean counters have decided that sales will make up for the cost of euro standard homologation.

Doesn't really need to. The progressive changes from the 1990s 600s to the final crop arguably made the bikes less 'streetable' at the same times as they improved their track performance. The 636 was too big for WSS and developed to return some road rideability to the class.

I'm also thinking Kawasaki have a clear IL4 screamer route from just past test to ZX10. I know we don't get the 250 but in some countries I bet it's popular and learners can do the full 250 - 400 - 600 - 1000 thing all with Kawasaki. Everyone else only makes shopping twins/singles up to 600cc.

If you compare it to a cbr650, the Honda looks very, very bland with its steel frame and 80-odd horsepower.

My current GSXR came out of the shop with a free Yoshi can and original in a big box. Only way they can shift them.

The announcement from ACEM last week indicated that the homologated replacement exhausts will be made tamper-proof so you can't fit an outwardly legal-looking system and remove the dB killer or grind out the welds securing the baffle. Construction will be so that removing the baffle requires destruction of the silencer.

That's what I meant by an agreement with the EXHAUST manufacturers, I should have specified aftermarket and not the OE manufacturer.

There will still be manufacturers of non-approved race exhausts, I'm sure but it'll be easier to monitor.

It would need to be some size of cardboard box to house that monstrosity.
