The only reason the bible is the 2nd worst source for moral guidance, is because the koran holds the #1 spot.

Having the bible as a piece of literature is perfectly acceptable, having it a source of moral guidance is another thing altogether.

Based on the behaviour of the current mainstream religions I would probably dispute that assertion. :(

A school district in the US state of Utah has removed the Bible from elementary and middle schools for containing "vulgarity and violence".

The move follows a complaint from a parent that the King James Bible has material unsuitable for children.

Utah's Republican government passed a law in 2022 banning "pornographic or indecent" books from schools.
^
Most of the books that have been banned so far pertain to topics such as sexual orientation and identity.

The banning of the Bible comes amid a larger effort by US conservatives in states to ban teachings on controversial topics such as LGBT rights and racial identity. Bans on certain books deemed offensive are also in place in Texas, Florida, Missouri and South Carolina. Some liberal states have also banned books in some schools and libraries, citing perceived racially offensive content.
I'm starting to realise I'm a right bad un. Sometime ago I confessed to owning a gollywog. Now my sin is owning not one but two copies of the bible. What's worse is that I've read it.

Plus there's a more than a whiff of homophobia about his trashing. It's all very Brexity. ;)
Nothing to do with his sexual preferences; it's all to do with yet another celebrity that has admonished the behaviour of others whilst doing the exact same thing themselves. Funnily enough the public don't like that.

And before anyone says he mad a mistake and deserves a second chance, no he doesn't. As soon as you put yourself into the position of judging others, you better be squeaky clean yourself.
There's my biggest transgression. I judge people all the time. For some people my decision is that they're not very nice and for others I decide they are . I expect people to judge me, too. Otherwise, how would they know I'm wonderful?

Not reading the linked paper in the article would be my guess.

"Overall, the steady-state assumption will overestimate ice loss on ice shelves that are advancing and underestimate ice loss on ice shelves that are retreating. The assumption also does not hold well for any irregular behaviour, such as ice shelves that have lost ice through large calving events. Our observations show that Antarctic ice shelves gained 660.6 Gt of ice mass from 2009 to 2019, whereas the steady-state approach would estimate ice loss of −20 028.1 Gt over the same period (Table 1)."

That paragraph highlights the difference between a subset of observations and an erstwhile "rule of thumb" which no longer holds true and which the linked paper does not apply.

So this well known cc denier website is telling you lies while pointing at the truth. I guess they assume people who want to believe the entire scientific community is a conspiracy will not bother to read what science is actually saying.

For example:

Science: If you drink sulphuric acid, you will get a sore throat. It would also kill you.

CC denier Headline: Idiot scientist drinks sulphuric acid and dies.

Bare links again?

To links with barely literate articles with random bold text again

You do know that out there on the internet you'll always find article of dubious provenance to support whatever whackjob views you happen to have don't you?
