Really like the look of that. If I'm being picky the R would be better a bit smaller & at the front of the tank though.

7/11s! Endurance racers! Aomw lovwly nostalgia there. Personally I'd have ditched teh fairing, bunged a 916 seat unit and mandlebars on it, but I certainly get where he was going with it and what a job he's made of it. Good read at the link too.

I always thought 7/11s were over rated, you still had all the mass of the 1100 engine, I much preferred a long stroke 750 with an 884 big bore preferably in an early slingshot chassis as they handled better than the ones with usd forks.
All of the slingshot 750s were hideously uncomfortable, I used to get cramp in my left hip riding them when I was in my 20s, 30 years later I'd find one an instrument of torture, doubt if I could even ride one for a lap of Cadwell.

I like almost all of that, the blue and white takes some beating as a paintjob but I even like the paint better.
Pod filters :( but the rest is good.

I'm not sure if the frame looks like its been butxhered slightly as I seem to remember mention of clearance issues with the carbs on some 7/11 versions.
And as for em being hideously uncomfortable? I wouldn't describe as armchair comfy but theyre not bad either.

You can't get the cam cover off an 1100 engine in a 750 frame, the later 1100s have bigger carbs (40mm I think) which might cause clearance issues, personally I'd have gone for a set of RS38s, they're far less trouble than CV carbs with pod filters.

I really didn't fit 750 Slingshots, I was fine on the earlier 750s, fine on the water cooled 750s and fine on any of the 1100s, but 750 Slingshots gave me really bad cramp in my left hip after about 30 minutes of riding one fast, tootling around I was okay on them.

The best of the cradle framed GSXRs is the GK76 400, they do 135mph and massively out handle any 750 or 1100, but if I was going to have another cradle framed GSXR it would be a 750 Slingshot, feck knows why.

Great read on how he built it,I love the look of the 80's Endurance bikes with the twin round headlights,they're so much better looking than the current crop of transformer inspired designs.
This stood out for me: it has the performance to back it up: 135 hp, 77.5 ft-lb, and a dry weight of 388 pounds.(that's 176 KG) :thumbup: :thumbup:
I know that it doesn't have the weight penalty of Euro regs but it's so much lighter than a lot of modern bikes :D
I think it would have looked even better in Suzuki Endurance colours.
