One of mine also ran the school photography club, then it came out he was taking pics of nekkid kids. He went to prison for it. tbf, he always came across as a bit off & was a strange looking bloke.
I didn't have any classes with him, but he was my form teacher for a year & very friendly with the three shirt-lifters in the class.

Apparently the young lad was 15 when they first met, schofield got the lad a job at ITV and he states the lad was 18 when they started the sexual relationship.

The dodgy/unseemly part is that schofield was in a ‘position of power’ over the lad as the relationship developed.

It's almost as if this left wing movement has an all encompassing agenda so that pick one topic they disagree with and you're guilty of everything from racism to transphobia.

Makes me wonder how long this woke insanity can last. It is clearly not a majority view, just a vocal (and violent) minority. That's why they have so deeply infiltrated the entire education system. Get 'em while they're young before they can see the madness behind this nonsense.
No, the interesting aspect is that these students are part of a movement known as Students for Life of America, which states on its website:
Students for Life Action trains and mobilizes this generation of pro-life leaders to impact public policy and influence key elections in order to restrict & abolish abortion in America.
Since 2006, Students for Life of America has trained more than 163,000 student activists nationwide and currently supports more than 1,300 Students for Life groups in all 50 states. Students for Life Action is deploying these energetic, passionate members of the Pro-Life Generation to the front-lines of the battlefield, where the abortion industry has identified they are the most vulnerable — state-level politics. Students for Life Action empowers and utilizes our pro-life movement’s best, untapped resource — an army of young people across the nation — to kick the abortion industry out of schools and ensure key state political victories to make abortion unprofitable, restrict abortion access, and embrace a post-Roe America. Our strategy is simple: Elections. Laws. Leaders.
A multi-million dollar organisation that uses kids to spread its religious and political ideology, as well as shaming Christian schools into dropping Planned Parenthood for their students. 'Get 'em while they're young' indeed
They're rather dishonest with their naming. They're not pro-life, they're pro-birth, after they're born, fuck 'em.

Couldn't give a flying fig about Gordan the gopher's mate, but that's a pretty crappy comparison, who'd have thought a radio show gets more ears listening than eyes watch a TV show slap bang in the middle of a working morning.

Again, both sides as bad as each other because the other "side", the left wing, who can't say what a woman is, refuse to put a timescale on abortion. They say it is ok to perform an abortion all the way up to full term. You know, a viable baby. An actual human being....

The problem is that (both sides) need to pander to the extreme views or they will become enemies amongst themselves. Trump dares not criticise the right wing, no democrat would argue that a man can't also be a woman if he wants to.

I am often surprised at people who parrot the old "stop watching YouTube" shite.

There are some YouTube channels well worth watching to hear some alternative opinions along with incredible guest lists and researched sources etc.

Take Joe Rogan for instance. He will attract a vastly larger audience than CNN or Fox News mainstream/legacy media. I don't mean either or, I mean both combined...

Now bums on seats does not make anyone right or wrong but I feel I ought to point out just because these people are broadcasting on You Tube does not make them a "second rate" source for news. Far from it. Naturally you do have to be somewhat picky about who you watch. I wouldn't bother with BBC news or god forbid, C4; same as I would avoid the obvious assholes on YouTube.

<edit> somewhat shocked to see this is actually 4 years old. JRE is probably two or three times bigger now

Its the fact that YouTube has far lower standards to pass which makes em second rate. Or at least possibly second rate, surely?

I could well stand to be corrected here, but YouTube doesn't have anything like the same legal hurdles to clear WRT press standards?

Doesn't mean it's automatically bollox on YouTube. Just more likely to be.

I don't know about YouTube but Facebook Reels seems to mainly be PAWG'y attention whores.

Or maybe it's one of those things that divines what you want and gives you exactly that.

What "standards"? And who decides how they are measured? So far as I can tell, the mainstream news just parrots whatever they are told to say by their sponsors/owners. For whatever reason, there is a rather obvious narrative; gay or black good, straight or white bad.

Trump is evil, Ukraine politics are a paragon of virtue, Joe Biden isn't a crook. everybody is gay, all whites are racist. I'm sick of it tbh so I don't bother watching legacy news channels any more. And now we are supposed to "celebrate" being gay for "gay pride month". Seriously. Why? Who gives a fuck what anyone gets up to in the privacy of their own homes.

Sorry rant over. This is bang on topic tho' re. "stupid decisions": the world is full of them at the moment.

From my experience we've always been told what to think by those that know better. It's never really been any different be it religion, politics, monarchy or media. My real issue is with the modern trend of fads, social media and virtue signalling. The main news feeds are so right on, they're terrified of upsetting an incredibly small minority whilst systematically shutting down the majority. I seriously worry about my kids and their kids to be.

Umm no, you can't have any sensible discussion due to a great deal of misinformation and hyperbole. You're stance that the left wing is not putting a timescale on abortion is along the same lines as the religious right being pro-life. You'll find that the vast majority of abortions take place well before the portion of the CNS that perceives pain is developed (24 weeks). That's right around the end of the second trimester (26 weeks). Being in place doesn't mean it's functional. Any abortions to follow commonly are due to fetal viability or risk to the mother (one study mentioned discovery late in pregnancy, either of fetal viability issues or health risks to the mother, access to a provider and facilities was a factor, or learning of the actual pregnancy - some women still menstruate during pregnancy and had no clue until third trimester) First trimester abortions account for 93% of all abortions performed in the US. 6% were between 14 and 20 weeks. 1% at 21 weeks or later. That last group still includes 2nd trimester numbers. Third trimester abortions are rare and expensive, quite often prohibitive to the average person seeking an abortion. However, putting a timescale on abortions has been tried and has been deemed unconstitutional as it closes the door on abortions due to health risks to the mother or pregnancies due to rape.

I'm not certain I understand your second to last paragraph:
The problem is that (both sides) need to pander to the extreme views or they will become enemies amongst themselves. Trump dares not criticise the right wing, no democrat would argue that a man can't also be a woman if he wants to.
Trump doesn't hold his tongue on any matter, even if it is self incriminating. He simply can't keep his pie hole shut. You clearly haven't been keeping up with his daily rantings.

As far as arguing that a man can't be a woman (or the converse), I personally don't give a flying fuck.

It's hilarious & shows he has no idea about "how to be political".

Already *settled science* in the bible where the Sky Fairy created the first woman from part of the first bloke... leading to Eve having male chromosomes & is therefore trans....

Oh wait...
