He certainly isn't and he was right in this instance, so instead of forming sides to gang up let's leave them to disagree and move on.

To be honest, predicting that IMF predictions, in keeping with its previous track record, would be innacurate is not exactly prescient.

I dunno about the whole Schofield thing, sure he was reputed to be a bit of a cunt off screen and there's a certain karma about his rather spectacular fall from grace, but the whole affair thing between 2 consenting adults should be their own business surely?

Clarkson chinned someone in the crew over a sandwich and he's considered a national treasure, Schofield wears the bumming hat and he's public enemy no.1?

At best it harks back to casting couch days, at worst the 'adult' part is questionable.

Schofield looks to be properly buggered now (ahem)...

Phillip Schofield dropped as Prince's Trust ambassador.
ITV said it was "deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit" made by Schofield and confirmed it had cut all ties with the host.
Schofield was also dropped by his talent agency YMU.

That's absolutely not the type of hat I'd wear.
Grooming young boys isn't my bag, although he claims he waited until the lad he'd groomed was over the legal age of consent.

His exit from ITV means he will no longer present the British Soap Awards next month.
Maybe there's a British Dropping The Soap Awards he could host?

No but yeah but Clarkson is still a cnut. The population has a tendency to say one thing ( be-kind / don't-bully / live-and-let-live) and do another ( say-what-you-mean / he-probably-deserved-it ). Clarkson says the things we want to hear "I hate Meghan and Harry" but in the wrong way "I want to shame a naked Meghan in the street hah-ha" because it's only a joke. Stuart Lee (don't start) has a great sketch where he imagines wishing Clarkson's daughters had gone blind, because "it's only a joke". Clarkson says the stuff most of us think. Like Boris - bit of a cnut, doesn't play by the rules, brilliant bloke.

I dunno why the nation hates Schofield. If you had avoided morning TV and Saturday night TV - possibly the best sort of TV to miss FFS - you could have been blissfully unaware of his existence. So obviously this brimming hatred has been a festering boil on the soul of all deadzone TV lovers for decades. Too good to be true. And yet he won award after award, year after year after year. Has he actually done any crimes? So far all I can glean, from the bombardment of hatred in the media, is that he told a couple of whoppers and his pissed off Eamon Holmes.

Why do we dislike him (hate is too strong a word), and laugh at his fall from grace? It's simply because he's sat on the sofa of TM, for many years, and ripped into may a person for lying, bad behaviour, cheating on their partners, and generally taking the higher moral ground. And yet he was doing all those things throughout his marriage to his wife, and further still with the latest news.

I laughed at the irony when I read that Alison Hammond had tried to defend him from the criticism he's faced, by saying "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." How very apt, and if only Phil had followed that advice before becoming the moral judge of people's actions on TM.

A school district in the US state of Utah has removed the Bible from elementary and middle schools for containing "vulgarity and violence".

The move follows a complaint from a parent that the King James Bible has material unsuitable for children.

Utah's Republican government passed a law in 2022 banning "pornographic or indecent" books from schools.

Most of the books that have been banned so far pertain to topics such as sexual orientation and identity.

The banning of the Bible comes amid a larger effort by US conservatives in states to ban teachings on controversial topics such as LGBT rights and racial identity. Bans on certain books deemed offensive are also in place in Texas, Florida, Missouri and South Carolina. Some liberal states have also banned books in some schools and libraries, citing perceived racially offensive content.
