No that was a few days ago, it was damp and grey yesterday and today is wet horrible. Turgid weekend riding for me with storm Alex and it’s aftermath.

Indoors or outdoors today, that's the big question. Too damp for risking trails yet with 1.5 hands... but if i road ride i'll get bloody cold on my hand.

Was out at Epping Forest today. Was so muddy at the end that the only option was to turn the hose on myself after cleaning the bike.

Bloody freezing and didn’t actually clean me but did enough for me to be allowed into the house before undressing.

Just contemplating going out on the Downs behind me this evening. I suspect that the green chalk will have arrived ...

Only 24-25km today, but all outside and mostly trails. The wrist/hand, it wasn't terrible but wasn't perfect, gentle trails, ridgeway etc i can manage... once it starts getting a bit rooty i can feel it juddering the hand a bit more than i'd like, so stayed away from it mostly.

Epic being out there though

Today was Forest of Dean for me and a massive day in recovery from broken scaphoid.

My oppo for the day was tall Dan. Who beasted me uphill but I had enough on the down to stay ahead and pull away generally. I feel I'm quicker than him down usually but was worried the confidence would take a hit from the crash and break. Happily that wasn't an issue. Sure, it was super wet and muddy so no records, but I felt good.

We then went to the skills area and I did the 'big' drop. Which is about 4' vertical drop, but as with blind drops, it looks massive until you hit it. Even then it's still big in my world but I did it, even though I'd talked myself out of it before getting 10' from it, I was 100% I wasn't doing it yet, but I did it and it went well.

Most most happy.

Today was a lot wetter but less muddy, somehow the bikes come back fairly ok.

But all our kit was drenched and filthy.

I then stripped his rear brake, aligned the pistons, quick bleed and all back. Since fitting it on Weds I couldn't get the rear wheel to spin quite freely enough and as we've been riding j I didn't have time to go through it fully. But it now spins lovely.

With the riding and the mud, I can see this being an expensive winter in drivetrains

Mines going singlespeed, I’ve noticed I’m getting lazy on climbs and sitting and spinning so its back to one gear and all or push!
