Some small Hondas in the 1980s had cable discs, upto 250cc maybe, certainly some of the 125s

How's that clutch lever work?

Could be as on many vintage bikes, where the lever pivots at the bar end and the cable runs through the bars.

From an engineering pov, your strongest fingers are at the end of the lever where they can have most effect.

Could be that for the clutch Hoss but I can't see a brake lever (there's something welded/brazed into the bar above the right hand but it doesn't look like a pivot) and they're discs...has there ever been a cable operated disc?

RH side? Dunno, I gave up at that point

In the Honda system and the like the two systems are still independent even though they use the same calliper, aren't they? A leak in one doesn't kill both?

I guess. I don't know how many custom designers have the technical knowledge to do a proper job of it though...unless Guzzis (I'm only assuming that's what it is/was) of an era with solid discs had it to start with? Then it wouldn't be too difficult.

Front suspension doesn't make much sense to me either.

I've trawled Google but can't find it. The irritating thing is I think I've seen it before.

On Guzzis with linked brakes, the handlebar lever did one front disc and the foot pedal did the other and the rear disc.

That popped up on Instagram (Return of the Café Racers iirc). There's some very nice detail to it...and it's a very patriotic colour (It's from Queensland). Might be the best CX custom I've seen.
