Do i think the US will allow this to happen? - NoZRX61 wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 5:06 pm This whole US Debt limit fiasco is bullshit. It's ALL pantomime. Here's the hard facts:
1, US defaults on it's debts.
2, China dumps all the US bonds it holds.
3, Entire world economy collapses... pretty much overnight
Anyone think the US will allow that to happen?
Do i think Humanity will allow this to happen - Yes

TBF Yozza most of your 'it's all false' posts are getting a bit false too, and very boring.
Do you believe in a higher being?

Re: In todays news...
TBF - all the doomsayers and politics on this thread has turned it from a lighthearted look at the news to something that should be in the politics section. He did start a thread (with a not ideal title admittedly) to put all that elsewhere, but nope, it stays here and that's pretty boring too!!

Oi @demographic the UK has not entered recession.German economy entered recession as inflation hurt consumers
...
German GDP data showed "surprisingly negative signals," Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Thursday. He added that comparing Germany with other highly developed economies, the economy was losing potential for growth.
"I don't want Germany to play in a league in which we have to relegate ourselves to the last positions," he said, referring to the forecasts of the International Monetary Fund, which predicted a recession in 2023 only in Germany and Britain among European countries.
