Wowsers... well there's a question isn't it... Mmmmm.
Maybe the 2nd bike at Ducati Factory with Bautista.... I can't imagine why he'd go anywhere else.

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
I would imagine Rinaldi is going to be looking for a new seat ……. Toprak would be the ideal team mate to take over the lead of the team when Alvaro hangs up his helmet in 2025

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
I'm mostly just yanking your chain a bit... I think you're mostly right, he'd stick the Yamaha on the podium for sure IMO. Whether he'd stick it there consistently enough or at the higher end of it, i'm not quite sure. But he'd be a shoe-in for a top 3-4 in the title race.

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
Would make sense to bump Aegerter up to the full factory team as he has already shown well on the independent team bike. Might also provide a chance for Brad Ray to step up a level as well to a full season ride

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
That was a surprise.
I wonder how big a challenge he needs? The BMW ride would certainly tick that box.
Less of a challenge would be Honda,or maybe he's going to be JR's team mate and Lowes gets the heave.
If Toprak wants a less challenging bike and a shot at beating Alvaro,it has to be the Ducati.

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
If they give other teams extra revs and maybe other conciliations and/or a combined rider/bike limit, it might make other teams more attractive.

Not convinced the Kwak is better than the Yam in honesty... 2 years ago, sure... now, not so much.

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
Social media is blowing up, Kenan had mentioned BMW before as one of the teams that had made an offer, I’m wondering if the money being offered was too good to pass up on.
Who knows, Kawasaki, Ducati……….the suspense is killing me.

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
I'm genuinely non-plussed by this. BMW have, for all the time they've been in WSBK, over-promised and seriously under-delivered. Now I'm sure having Toprak on your bike automatically shaves 2 or 3 tenths off the lap time of whatever bike he's on, but BMW appear to be completely adrift. They've made big promises to other riders in the past, but are always mired in the mid-field.
I can only assume that BMW have dangled a carrot the size of the legendary Camberwell in front of him to make him jump ship.

Re: Toprak leaving Yamaha
Must be a fecking large pay cheque to jump from a bike that’s a podium finisher on every track to one that’s just getting in the top ten with the occasional better result.
Who is getting the flick from BMW then, Scott or Micky
