Re: What have you done today thread?
Played golf this morning and I’m gubbed. Was planning on doing some mechanical stuff at work afterwards but couldn’t be arsed, just headed home.
Going to watch the bikes and grab a pizza.

5 hour enduro. Absolutely fantastic. Found some new bits
Nearly collapsed when I got off bike.
Stripped off and straight in pool
Cracked a cold "un.

Took Tam to look at some houses - she wasn’t entirely negative so watch this space for tales of errant estate agents etc.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to my friend's shop in the valley for the second day in a row
It's great cos every time I go down I see friends that I haven't seen in ages (they don't often come up here as Les Arcs is the nearest!!)
My French mate in mad. Not only has he done two days of fairly serious downhill biking through the forest to the valley, followed by a fair few kms (into a head wind both days ) to town, he's given me the spare key to his car (a little Suzuki Jimny that only has two seats!!) so I can use it whenever he's working without having to catch up with him first!!! (EDIT: it's probably 'only' about 25 and a bit kms down to Bourg, but I'd guess it's hard work through the forest, even downhill )
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate it. But, we haven't known each other that long and the only connection is liking the same cafes and both living in resort all year round!
Currently doing a 'Congrats on your Wedding' car in cross stitch to post this week to some friends that are getting married a week Saturday!!

Went up in the air with a friend of mine for a few hours, landed for a cuppa then came back. Makes me feel like renewing my PPL, but the reason I let it lapse was that it was a total waste of money to begin with

Re: What have you done today thread?
Back from a weekend ride to Grange over Sands staying overnight at the Cumbria Grand Hotel.
Nice run of about 400 miles and good weather.
I’ve never in my life seen as many bikes on the roads as I saw on Saturday down there. Packs of them everywhere.
The last run out for the GS as it’s getting picked up on Tuesday, having been a delay in the delivery of its replacement.

That's south of Shap, there's dragons down there.
And you'll never get off the Strathmore mailing list, I've tried numerous times in various ways and they still send me brochures every month or so.

Went riding, no issues except forgetting that I'm "not supposed to ride like that" after the recent surgery.

Yeah, I 'forgot' that I hadn't ridden more than a dozen times in five years last autumn. Luckily didn't end in tears!!!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Done my usual Monday wander through my favourite bit of green and pleasant etc.
Sat on a bench on an area of heath having an early bit of nosebag and watched and listened to a skylark as it lifted off from the heather and pootled around overhead. Marv. Just needed a bit of Vaughan Williams 'Lark Ascending' as incidental music and it would have been all a bit Attenborough-ish.
Someone pedalled by that is a dead ringer for Charlie Boorman too.

I have driven to the airport (Lands End), flown to the Scillies, and am now sat in a pub waiting for the tide to come in so I can get a boat onwards to Bryher.
