They're excellent. @crust bought me one as a present... (thanks !!!), it's superb. OK, so it doesn't fit EVERY bearing on the planet... but most you'll ever need.

I use a mallet and an appropriately sized socket, I didn't know you could get a little press like that.

you animal... lol. I've got one of those sets and another smaller set for tighter jobs. I've not found a job yet i can't beat. Removing bearings i sometimes use a socket to push into the space behind.

that's what I've always done, but I'm struggling to get a wheel bearing to go in square and it's marked the hub so I think that it's time to spend a little bit of cash to press the bearings in correctly.

bearing in freezer, hub in the sun.... expansion/contraction.

I rarely change bearings, and it's the way I was taught to do them in 1984, I never thought of doing them any other way.
TBH it looks a good tool, especially for something delicate like a bicycle wheel.

Works on wheels, frames, pivots, bottom brackets, etc etc. I can't imagine how often i change bearings... I'd bet you'd be quite surprised if you took all your linkages apart and checked all the bearings.

There's a reason why I bought a hardtail bicycle, I know what enduro motorcycles are like for going through linkage bearings

I have one of those - cost a little more than 50 quid at the time. I managed to bend the central shaft on the second use - but it has been absolutely fine ever since

I was trying to do the press fit BB on the Production Privee (I think you remember the one that squeaked) - and one of the sleeves drifted off centre. To be honest , I should have just twatted it with soft hammer

This kit came within 3 days and I have pressed the wheel bearings back in, I'd say the kit is decent enough for what it is and more than up to the occasional light work that I'll use it for, but I wouldn't expect it to put up with a beating but if you're doing that to a mtb frame you're in problems anyway.

it gets a thumbs up from me
