I too have lost dear friends,one in particular hit me hard,yet we only lose a part of them,the good times,the great memories stay with us while we still have the power to remember.

While we that knew them remember,they still live.

It’s strange how in the immediate aftermath time slows to a crawl and then before you know it a decade has passed. 14 years in May for me. I still think of him all the time.
