Chinese fairings off ebay

Post by BBB »

Anyone had any experience with the replica fairings? Been looking for a side panel or two for my zx6r as they're not great. Knackered panels are well north of £150 then is need to fix and paint so I could just fix mine but that's a huge cost.

Fairing Legend on ebay has one in the correct scheme for £390, I know colours might be a bit off but am curious about panel for and overall quality.

Google brings up a lot of mixed reviews....

Thanks

I've had a couple of sets, R1 and aprilia rs250 both have been great, especially when taking the price into account.
They're a little more brittle than the standard panels, so best to change them on a warm day.
I've always changed the whole set so cant really comment on colour match.
There's pictures of the rs in the bike section.
Oh and I always price for a new set of fairing fixings. Makes thing a lot easier.

Thanks, it's the panel fit that concerns me most. Happy to drill out holes and adjust if necessary just don't want any horrendous gaps...

Most reviews are always favouritable and event the paint quality is mentioned.
Replaced all of the nasty alloy Allen bolts and missing fairing fixings with genuine kawasaki parts last summer.

Very tempted to invest.

A mate bought a Fila Replica kit for his Ducati 916, as he didn't want to risk damaging the originals.

Looked really good, fitted well after a bit of adjustment here and there, and after a few years was still nice and shiny.
Found a photo of it:
