Re: Harley Davidson
Geezer wants to get it serviced before handing it over. Booked in for Tuesday. Is this normal? Just extra diligent?

Re: Harley Davidson
Odd. I've had buyers insisting its serviced before they stump up the money, but the seller insisting it's done before it goes is just strange. Unless he's just got too much money. Assuming it's a private sale not a dealer. I always ask a dealer to service before purchase.

Re: Harley Davidson
Sounds like he's a decent sort and maybe the service was already planned and he wants everything to be right.

I rode a Rocket 3 in Aus ( Sydney). Loved it, but this is about a culture thing for me. I think. Never owned a Harley and it was on the bucket list

Re: Harley Davidson
Slight delay: it’s with the Harley dealer fitting a new odometer. Should be fitted Tuesday.
I have today however sold my Guzzi. Loved that bike.

Re: Harley Davidson
I chopped my Harley Davidson in for a Honda and now have a Guzzi. Really disliked the Harley after a year or ownership, but have already bonded with the Guzzi. Each to their own.

Re: Harley Davidson
So the deal is off. A mix of waiting too long for it to be fixed ( which it now is) and other bikes needed to be lined up.
I have my eye on another one. Could pick it up this weekend. The guys only owned it since March though. Would that put anyone off?

Re: Harley Davidson
Bought it when it was cold and damp in March, didn't ride it until May when it warmed up and decided he didn't like it?
Did he suggest a reason for selling it?

Re: Harley Davidson
To be fair, lots of people buy Harleys and love them initially, but then cant live with them and they sell them on. When I had my Sportster we had a lot of new members come and go on the facebook page.

Some people can be so fickle with bikes.
