They’ve said he’ll have a ride before the summer break on the GP bike as a wildcard.

Last one he rode was the full factory bike …. But maybe less wings. He’ll be back on the salad and water diet again but I hope he shows well on it

These things are so radically different to a superbike now. All the map fiddling,aero and ride height controls during the race will be new to Danilo. If he nails the top ten,it'll be amazing.

I'm sure Ducati will have thought ahead and given WSB riders a sneak preview on private tests

Toseland was talking about this today, unlike years ago where a WSBK rider could jump on a GP bike and go relatively well now it’s such a huge difference that they struggle or require much longer time to get acquainted with it.

Probably,but just over a second off the fastest rider can leave him out of the points.

I was going to say that it's a sign of the times when everyone wants instant results, however I think it's always been this way. Back when it was the 500's, if you didn't adapt/learn quickly you'd spend most of your brief GP career in hospital/pain.

I think the point Toseland was trying to make was that when the GP went to 4 strokes again in 2002 the bikes were more suited to the WSBK riders at the time and the teams were trying to get them across, and they went well.

The bikes were much easier for them to ride as they weren’t too dissimilar to what they were used to at the time but he goes on to say that the differences now are huge and it’s difficult for them to transition, compared to the early 2000’s anyway.

But that’s not to say someone couldn’t jump across and go well.
