Went to see the red one. I was wrong about the filler cap, wasn’t a quick release one. Overall is a very nice bike and surprisingly roomy. Definitely not a track bike. I did forget how loud the clutches were.

Will have a think.

You test it? They're pretty damn epic in engine terms

No. I wasn’t completely convinced it was for me and was a private seller so didn’t want to take the piss.

HUGELY demanding to ride in the way that any large capacity V-Twin superbike with zero electronic aids is... Same applies for the RC8 too... Very rewarding on the right road (track preferably), on the right day (20deg and sunny), but otherwise a massive PITA that you will spend 99% of its time on the road pootling about on barely using any of its potential.

You won't lose much money, but then you won't ride it very much either... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Modern super naked bikes are just soooooooo much more accessible on the road, not just cos of their riding position (clip-ons only make sense on a track), but their modern electronics suites just make the bikes so much more accessible in general.

If you want a bike for posing on, a 1098 is hard to beat to be fair... Especially a Tricolore edition version... But if you want a bike for enjoying on the roads, they're a long long way down my list of bikes to recommend... You'll have much more fun on another Tuono V4, a Superduke R, a Ducati Streetfighter or even an MT-10 (though I recommend that cautiously as the stock suspension is absolute shit on them unless you go for the SP with Ohlins!)... Or in fact, just get an Adventure Bike like a KTM 1290 Super Adventure or a Ducati Multistrada V4... You'll be quicker than on any sports bike on the roads, in far more comfort, and you'll go much further too... They just lack slightly in the pose factor, but modern Adventure Bikes are an absolute game changer in terms of having your cake and being able to eat it as well!
