Re: Motogp Jerez

The misuse of rules are beginning to interfere with the racing. Dorna has built structures to make the racing close and now is punishing riders for riding close. There needs to be a clear line between what is considered dangerous riding and what is merely a hard move, otherwise the riders themselves will be unsure of where they stand.

That aside,it was an entertaining Motogp race.

Hopefully Lowes has got over the bump in the road and will now be a regular contender once again. Can't doubt the guy's commitment and balls.

Best racing of them all was,as usual, the Moto3.

I've next week to watch 5 odd hours of BSB now. 8-)

I didn't quite get all the LLP info (them frenchies talk bastard quickly when commentating!!) - he got the first for the move that took him and the other guy out at the first corner? Why the second?

The opposing teams will jump on any rules infringements.

The riders are getting pissed off.

When he was serving the first LLP he very, very briefly touched the green area, at the exact moment that he was looking left over his shoulder to make sure it was OK to re-join. Just seemed petty.

Thank you. Does sound petty. Haven't really been following that much but if the stewards don't treat them all the same, then that sux a lot

I'm more miffed with Race Direction / stewards for the inconsistency really.

Hodgson and Co were having a right go at them.

Listening to Simon Crafar's comments on it, he said "the riders know the rules, they have to stay within the lines, that's why they practice the long lap". He thought the penalty of the extra lap was fair, I'll g with him.

He's become a company man now. Has to stay squeaky clean. Not all ex-racers stay loyal to the new racers.

The long Lap penalty for Fabio was fair enough - he didn't stay within the lines. It's the other penalties they dished out today, including Fabio's original long lap penalty. Utter stupidity by the Stewards.

I can understand if the stewards/race direction say that they will be extremely strict during the sprint race - to me, that makes sense as they want to stop it becoming a blood bath, but not the the main race.

I agree, the long lap shouldn't have been given, it's not clear what Bez's role in the crash was but I suspect he instigated it.

Man of the match has to be Pedrosa. To turn up as a test rider on a wild card ride and beat the factory Honda, Yamaha riders plus a load of other big names shows just what a class rider he still is.

Miller and Binds were really singing his praises.
Saw a video of Ped on Miller's shoulders :D

I can't see how Bez could be blamed for it; from the footage I saw, Fabio was coming from behind (oh, matron), and he didn't know he was there.
