HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
I'll readily admit to not particularly liking Hondas and I never thought much of this 750/900 cam chain munching model, but they've made this one very presentable.

Cheesy will be a long any minute to tell you how he'd buy the Honda concept CB1000 if they ever put it into production.

Re: HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
That flows quite well with a nice finished off look and all the colour co-ordinated modern parts add to the final result

I think that the USD forks are wrong on a build of that nature.
Apart from that it looks alright, but I wouldn't want to ride it,or own it

Re: HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
I like Hondas.
But not really this one. It's not a very special engine, noisy and rattly. And they've taken some very flattering photos, the stock rear-end is pretty hideous in the flesh, so wide that it makes that housebick of a taillight look small.
The addition of more more modern running gear just makes it look worse. Lipstick on a pig.

I could, but if I wanted one that much I could make my own, it's just a bodywork change.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 3:24 pm Cheesy will be a long any minute to tell you how he'd buy the Honda concept CB1000 if they ever put it into production.
As for this one, it looks nice apart from the upside down front end

Re: HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
Very tidy. Little odd that they went for a 750 decal after having gone to the effort of replicating the body panels in carbon fibre.

Re: HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
You'd think it was a no brainer, the XSR's and Kawasaki RS' seem popular and there can't be much R&D to do.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 4:46 pmI could, but if I wanted one that much I could make my own, it's just a bodywork change.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 3:24 pm Cheesy will be a long any minute to tell you how he'd buy the Honda concept CB1000 if they ever put it into production.

And a CGI version of what it would look like with proper road kit on it...

I loved mine, but when I see these, I just see kilos and extra lard.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 7:23 pmYou'd think it was a no brainer, the XSR's and Kawasaki RS' seem popular and there can't be much R&D to do.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 4:46 pmI could, but if I wanted one that much I could make my own, it's just a bodywork change.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 3:24 pm Cheesy will be a long any minute to tell you how he'd buy the Honda concept CB1000 if they ever put it into production.

Re: HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
Google reckons the original 80's CB900F had a fuelled weight of 220kg.
The CB1000R which that concept bike is based on is 212kg.

Re: HONDA CB900F RESTOMOD
But it was the fashion of the time...
As it happens, I rather dislike the current fad for tiny rear lights on pointy rear ends. I actually quite like being seen from behind
