Last minute spur-of-the-moment track evening at Brands.
A bit nippy but dry and bright, only two groups so it seemed like as soon as I'd taken my lid off it was time to put it back on but a very enjoyable way to spend the evening, even though my old man joints seriously ache now!

Embarked on a lovely Hebridean cruise from Barra down to Oban. Calmish, about F2 or 3 and sunny, 'tis lovely on the observation deck.
I’ve not been to Oban since 2019, family years ago worked on Mull so we used to meet up in Oban all the time, used to go up on bike a fair bit as well, lovely place.

Track day at Oulton.
Some proper cars knocking about here.
I spun out at Lodge, fuel cut-off kicked in and I had to be towed back to my garage after getting the track red flagged. I got some harsh looks as I was towed the full length of the garages.
The shame.
So you finally done the track day then, and you we're worrying about the other cars crashing into you lol!

I've got a headache!
Spent the morning trying to sort out the fubar car insurance.
The 3rd party agents acting for AXA have decided to not allow the claim as there is a discrepancy (500) in the mileages.
Apparently, once they MAKE the offer, you aren't allowed to drive it any more!
It took them 6 months to make an offer as well.
So, ball's back in AXA's court. So the agent informed me, we will get an interim payment, just not as much as we were offered. Might have to go with plan B and run it into the ground or possibly develop a small but terminal electrical problem iyswim!

Good road heading north and over the Connel bridge. Stay on the coast almost all the way to Fort William.
I was in a camp site in Benderlock last year. When i got home my sister informs me my Brother who i have seen in probably 30 years lives in Benderloch.
Removed 5 exhaust studs that were badly corroded from the 22 year old Triumph Speed Triple block! Very pleased with myself. About to take dog for walk number two in the day. Then heading out tonight for a couple of pints and a curry with the church men! Will be a fun evening.

It’s a great loop that we would usually do, either way but usually we’d head up through Glencoe then across to Connel then back down.
When it’s clear blue skies I don’t think there’s a better road with unbelievable views than the A82 between Tyndrum and Glencoe.

The last time I was over Glencoe,it was raining and heavy fog. I had replaced the stock discs on the 9R with EBC,which had horrendous 1970s lag in the wet conditions. My arse went from a bin lid to a sixpence far too many times. I hadn't even the view to take my mind off things.

Dono if the area has a name but Castle Stalker area you have a pub or ex pub called The Old Inn. Parked up behind it to stretch my legs and came across this auld bloke.
Portnacroish I think, I remember taking a picture of the castle one day and had tagged a mate in it saying the castle was named after his missus, that didn’t go down well. She was a bit of a fruit loop.

Not much today, but made some people happy cos I made brownies this morning!! LOL Took some to my friends cafe, had a couple of coffees then came home. Made sausage and mash but messed up the gravy (HTF do you fck up gravy granules - far to thin - but then, it's been months and months since I made any!! LOL)
Been sofa slouching and cross stitching most of the day. Gotta pull my brain back into positive asap!!
