Spent a frustrating 1/2hr going through an invoice for a punter explaining why I had to use a different primer on the metal to what I used on the timber.

Helped a pal build a staircase up to the loft in his garage. All our pals are builders and they'd have taken the piss if they'd seen us. But we had a giggle and it's certainly sturdy

Went to Herne bay on the CBR 130 miles round trip.
Wanted to stop in Whitstable but the car park had loads of people in it so didn’t wait and continued home.
Good ride.

Finished 6 nights, took the dogs for a sunny walk and then took Finn the Ferret to the vets for the last time. RIP little man.

Accepted the package for a promotion at work, rather pleased so card behind the bar. The hard work since the pandemic has paid off and both my boss and the VP asked me to take on managing the EMEA service desk and operations. 100% increase on what I was on 3 years ago.

Managed to avoid the hip issues while riding yesterday by not coming home until today. We had 12 ZRX's at the RockStore yesterday, not too shabby for a bike that hasn't been available here for 18 years.

More bastard filling, taping and painting. A trip round the airport fire station. And changed my travel plans as they've run out of ferries and have cancelled them from Saturday.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Just shifted 12 barrow loads of soil about 50 meters.
Dropped on sofa having a rest
About 10 to go when I've finished this beer
Looked to be about 6 or 7 when I started

Took the rear wheel off the ZX11
Fitted new tire
Put the rear wheel on the ZX11
*spidey sense moment*
Took the rear wheel off the ZX11
Put the rear wheel on the ZX11.. with the outer left axle collar the right way round...
I assume it's been installed backasswards since it last got new tires... 14 years ago.

42 years married tomorrow and it was a lovely warm, sunny day today,so we spent the day walking around the grounds and gardens of the Montalto estate. A lovely place and very few people there. You can just see @Potter house in the background.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Going to put a note on the ZX11 dash "Fuel tap dumbass!". 24 years on the ZRX has conditioned me to vac taps... However, I don't have any issues turning it off, just remembering to turn it back on again.
Discovered the ZX11 will go over 1/2 mile with the tap off...
Luckily this didn't happen when some blerk in a Tesla Model 3 decided he was going to show me what acceleration looks like away from the lights. He went home a bit wiser.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today we found a new beach darn sarf.
Went to a nice beach, but now there's signs banning dogs. So got Satnav out and saw a nice beach further down the dirt track.
Beautiful quiet cove, with some shade for dog under the high cliffs.
The sea was much warmer than we expected at this time of year. No initial 'ooh' as usual.
In for ages and dog playing in the shallows.
When we got out, we realised it was a beach for poor people
Most of the girlies couldn't afford a bikini top :
And some couldn't even afford bikini bottoms
Luckily for Penny, some of the fellas couldn't afford trunks
Was a very pleasant few hours. Glad I had very dark sunnies
We'll be going back there soon
