There's more to it than that, I thought it was mainly caster effect but that's still only part of it.

At school in our physics class out teacher gave us a bicycle wheel to old and turn it through a sideways 180arc, iyswim, then he span it and we then had to try and turn it again and so demonstrated the gyroscopic effect!

Pretty sure you could make a perpetual motion machine with enough magnets and gyroscopes. Maybe throw in a newton's cradle just to be sure.

It's owned by a friend of mine, or was. Her husband died last December and she's now bought a smaller van but has kept the registration I believe.
