I actually quite like it, it reminds me of an RD350LC, so long as they leave the lines clean and don't try and make it look like something from the 1960s it will be okay

They're looking at their aging buyer demographic, and realising that they need something at a lower price point.

I'm sure it'll be a good bike. It'll look good too if they use the quality of paint they are putting on the retro models.
I'll reserve judgement until I see a production version though.

I'd love to see them do a Tiger cub, 400cc single in roadster and ADV versions

I've heard it said that since the Street triple went 765, its gone all serious and grown-up.

As a former original Striple owner, a cheeky middle-weight naked based on the old 675 engine doesn't sound dull to me. Maybe Triumph's answer to the MT-07/XSR700...

It might look a bit better once they take all the Triumph stickers off it and give it a decent paint job.

But nothing about the styling stands out at all so yeah, a bit meh, like others have said

Look forward to seeing the final version and great to see the Trident name out there again. I expect the reviews to read, "Fantastic bike but something missing that I can't quite put my finger on", which is what I seem to keep reading about the 675? ???

There's been an avalanche of review videos published to YouTube this morning (not riding, just Q&A with Triumph bods).

I like it, Longer stroke, smaller bored motor, "only" 80bhp but loads of torque throughout and pretty lightweight.

On the Trumpet website it's £7,195.00 for a council spec one.

The styling is a bit odd, rubber grips on the tank like something from the 1950s and a bright red plastic rad shroud like an MX bike from the 80s, exhaust like an Armadillos shell, and a million shiny engine casing bolts. Maybe it will look better in real life.

Price seems a bit high as well.

It looks like they are trying to ape the looks of the Yam MTs to me and have failed- the MT09 isn't a handsome thing anyway but they took the worst bits of that , the XSR and Suzuki Gladys and added an extra bit of dis-jointed colouring-in for luck.

Yuck.
